So I was thinking about adding a second 6.5 to my front doors.I have a Rockford t600-4 and bridged it is 300wx2. My understanding is you want headroom, which I have plenty of. my 6.5s are rated at 100w rms. Should I get 8ohm mids and wire them in parallel? How about 4 ohm speakers and run it on all 4 channels? How do those of you with 2 mids have it set up? It seems like 2 tweeters are plenty, so no plans to add there.

Either one per channel if you aren't using the other 2 channels or wire two mids together to 2 ohms on channel 3 and the other two on channel 4 and then two tweeters on channel 1 and 2.

I had 1 4 ohm mid per channel on my FSD 125.4 but did have them all wired down to 1 ohm on a Taramps DSP3k. Just got a deal with FSD and ran their amps.

If you have all four channels available, equalizable rca input isn’t a concern, and your current 6.5s are 4 Ohm that’s kind of a no brainer.

do you have subs? If so do you have a processor....separate or bridging... that Rockford amp is going to consume two pairs of rca’s

I do have subs. Running active from a pioneer hu. Couldn't I just use splitters for the rcas if I have 4 identical speakers? They would be fed the same frequencies.

I have ran the 6.5’s, but not the tweeters. They were very smooth and had good low mid bass. They were perfectly happy being high passed at 75 hz...
