1999 Ford Explorer LTD

Whussup yall? I'm new to the board, and I'm also new to car audio. Been a huge fan of music forever, hell I gotta tat on my arm that means love of music. Thing is...I never got into car audio so I have no idea how to hook my **** up. So I'm hear askin for opinions on set ups, what to get, what not to get, what to look out for, etc. As you can see in the subject I gotta 99 EX LTD, it came stock with 10 mach speakers throughout the ride, and a 6 disc changer with a a cd/cass radio. Any help would deeply be appreciated. Holla at'cha boy!

Keep reading the threads and watch for the more experianced people's opinions. Also, there is a search ability on this forum for looking up stuff.

Like learing anything else, read, read, and read some more and you will find out what you need to know; but beware: Some things are required knowlage and some things are just someone's opinion.

And to get you started on learning the world of car audio, I offer this: Go to the following web site and start studying: http://www.bcae1.com Along with that, go to your favorite book store and find a good book(s) on car audio; you might also want to start reading car audio magazines that have lots of product reviews and tech articles; and competition articles if your interested.

I have learned many things to do with automotive stuff using this method.

ADVICE: Study the products and materials you are thinking about using; always start with a good foundation (E.G: Is your vehicle up to supplying the equipment); plan out what you want to do; quality work = quality results--don't take shortcuts.
