my dad has been out of car audio since he was young and no wants a decent system in his vette. Hes got limited space, has a jvc deck and wants some new speaks up front. He likes my infinities so i think were gonna go with a pair of them. Now i suggested an re8 to just fill low ends, we dont need to shake houses here, remember its a fiberglass body spidercracks come easily, do you think an 8 sealed would give out enough, which amp for it? its a coupe with removeable window and ttops btw. I would go with 2 sealed and in a car like that it won't take much to get the lows coming through. Not really sure what amp or anything to run it with, maybe check into US Acoustics...

actually, as much as I hate to admit it, I'd get a couple of bazooka tube subs in there. Wouldn't risk such a thing of beauty to get burdened with large bulky boxes and stuff that's required for installation.

yea we were thinking about those also, or maybe even a single infinity basslink, its a 10 with an integrated 200w rms amp anyone had experience with one?

I didn't mention the infinity basslink because of the fact that you still have to drill or bolt onto the chassis. Bazooka tubes can be strapped behind the seats, so all you are required to do is to adjust the velcro straps.

know where to get em cheap?, i found 150 so far havent looked to hard though. Do they come with a wiring kit or somthing all i need is about 4 feet of power cable since the battery is right where the sub will be.

I'd try ebay, cheapest for anything. I think you'll need to buy wiring kits, but walmart wiring kits are as good as any.

Get two re8's into a .7cubft sealed box and screw your amp to the box. Try to velcro the box to the car somehow. I'm under the impression that the 8's would sound a little better than a bazooka sub.

somewhere between 300 and 400 w RMS for the pair would do fine, they are rated 175 RMS each.
