i was at the local audio shop today an i was talkin to the guy who runs the place an i showed him my box i made for 2 12" sx's(about to order them) an he said holy crap what kinda subs are u putting in there an i told him what i was an he said that box is way to big an i said its 5 cb ft an tuned to 35 which is what they recomended an he said that, that box will not be at the most potential for them subs that its to big an all kinda b.s. an then he said for spl u wanna go with a sealed box an i was like wtf an then he started sayin that the florida record which is were i live at is 171 dbs an was done with 3 12" msx which is what he specializes in (what do u no!) i didnt say any thing but i no hes full of it cause i belive the world record is like 173.3 or something ...but i thought id share the b.s. that i have to put up with here...

Well if you want to talk about car audio in the physics part, seal should be the best type of box, but since there is no driver that can move enough (xmax) ported is the best. I don't know the exact physics of that but I know it is try or I have been told wrong by other people. In the real world you will not see any sealed enclosures in the SPL world. Oh yeah i can fart 172dB's so there beat that.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

When people first brinked the 160db mark, a good 40% of the competitors were sealed. Ported made it easier to move up even higher.

Loudest 3-12s Ive ever heard were 3 Dub7s powered by 1000/1 each. I believe he cranked out a 153db.

Proud-2B- Loud' date=' our corporate slogan was once again underlined when Eddie Moreno of West Palm Beach, FL took first place at the Whitley 2002 SPL contest earlier this year. A bone crushing 164.4 decibels with only three 12 inch subs![/quote']
When you first visit the website, their slogan is "No ********, just bass".
