13W7 AMP(s) WIRING QUESTION

I'm relatively new to the whole car audio thing, I'm 21 years old and have been investigating car audio... mostly subs thus far. I purchased a Jl 13w7 because I've only heard good things about them. Not my first setup, but my first I don't want to blow. I currently have a Jl 500/1 which I'm sad to say I've been running to it for about a month now.

I currently have a 1000/1 on the way and I was wondering if this would be enough power, or if I could incorporate the 500/1 to it as well. I'm not entirely sure how the voice coils work... such as: do I need to run the same amount to each coil? 500 and 500, or would the unbalanced 500 and 1000 make a difference or just be too much all together... if that makes any sense to anyone.

All this said and done, can I wire the 1000/1 to one side of the sub and the 500/1 to the other side, or is their a better, more efficient way of doing this that I am naive to??? any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot, I will do that, I was gonna try and hit a little over 150 though, just wanted to know if it was possible to use the 500/1 and the 1000/1 together, I figure 2 1000/1's would be too much, but I suppose I could turn the gains down a bit... anyways... just blabbing to myself, if anyone else has any comments; shoot away... thanks again.

There are a few people here locally that are running 2 1000/1s to their 13W7s with no ill effect. The voice coil can handle the power (you are only seeing anything near the max power from the amp for a few seconds at a time when you burp it for comps, daily you won't be using a fraction of that power) but you will need a properly built and tuned ported enclosure to be looking at that kind of volume and that kind of power. The enclosure is important because it will have to keep the cone in check under high power to keep the sub from over stroking which will kill that sub much quicker than 2000W will thermally.
