which would sound better....... one 12w6v2 built to spec. ported box or 2 12" hx2's in seperate sealed built to spec. box's.......dont consider different amps just say im pushing the rms to the subs

cant beat JL engineering. the 12W6v2 has excecellent output considering the small enclosure requirements.

If you get 2 power HX2's in a ported box(sealed i got with the JL) with atleast 1000 watts on them they will pound. I would take 2 Power HX2's over 2 of the JL's in a ported box, however comparing them to just 1 is really unfair. You will need to invest in some dynomat of something or you will sound like a loud as$ lawnmower going down the road. I also have a hard time reccomending 2 Power HX2's in a trunk, I've had really bad experiences with them in trunks not having near the output they should have, over a 10db drop with the same equipment from a Tahoe, to a Mustang. If space is the problem, and it appears to be go JL, the Rockford subs crave space. i have no experience with Punch HX2's.

I got punch hx2's and they POUND!!! and i'm only giving them 420 rms each, if you want loud then get the hx'2 if you want sound quality then get the w6v2
