1200W AMP

I NEED AN AMP THAT CAN PRODUCE 1200W RMS@4OHMS OR 600W X 2 RMS@2OHMS. OR MAYBE 2 AMPS, EACH WITH 600W RMS@4OHMS. HAVE ANY SUGESTIONS? HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME?

PPI has an amp that will do 600x2 at 2ohms but cannot remember the model number..might be last years model though.

That PPI amp is the PPI2300 and i dont know if it is last years or not, but they are pretty expensive, your looking at around $1000, but look around and u may be able to find a deal.

That amp is 300 x 2 @ 4 ohm and 600 x 2 @ 2 ohm.

I have a PPI2350, it is a couple years old, but it puts out the power! 700 x 2 @ 2 ohms! but PPI are great and i would strongly recommend them.

MTX 8100d will put out 1500 watts at 14.4 volts 2 ohms. however, this amp has a serious current dram (100+ amps i think), meaning, if you got it, youd probably need a new alternator, depending on your car of course. you should be able to get one off ebay brand new for 350.

I would go with a PPI. they have a good reputation in general and i agree with that reputaion from hearing them first hand.

The MTX amp is overrated... it says that that the amp is 1500watts peak but thats rated @ 14 volts and there is no way to pull that from a car...

Don't forget to mention the JBL powervalve 1200.1

Its rated- 600watts rms 12 to 14volts into a 4ohm load and 1200watts rms 12 to 14volts into a 2 or 1 ohm load. The jbl has a built in power regulator (like the JL amps) that allows it to function over a wide range of voltages and ohms.

Be sure to consider this amp before buying anything.
