12" Magnum d2 or 12" RE SX - Just straight up opinions

Hey guys. Just wanted all your 2 cents. I have searched through the threads and read a lot about each, but was just wondering opions straight up. The sub will be in a 2.2 ft^3 box tuned to around 30-34 hz. It will probably have either the visonik vx900d or a hifonics 1500 running to it. Thanks all!!

what is your goal? SQ/SPL? If SQ then I would say magnum, if you want spl I believe the SX is a loud sub w/ good but not outstanding SQ, you also might want to look into the Orion H2 w/ the bx1500d if you want loud.

Two totally different drivers.

Either driver will work.

Just depends on what you want. (SQ / SPL / whatever wise)

I'm not going to be the one to tell you to get sub X because it's 'better'.

all I can say is I love my 15" Mag D2. and I am only giving it 600 watts right now. Can't wait till I find the right amp to really push it.

I agree with 78nova, Mag is better for a small box application.

magnums get pretty darn loudwith really good SQ. work well in small boxes.

someone hit a 150.? DB with one 12.

magnums get loud and sound AMAZING. honestly though, with a wrangler id rather downfire a sub than port it regular. or maybe ur porting it and down firing....

If you are considering the Sx, you will need another cubic foot of enclosure space. The Magnum would produce some nice results in the smaller box you suggested.

Interesting ... So i guess its magnum or orion ... I think I am going to go for the mag as I have heard a lot more good things from them. Also, the sub is going to be firing down and ported down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif .
