1000 watt amp suggestions

I am about to purchase an amp for my blaupunkt overdrive 15's. They are DVC 4 ohm and take 500 watts rms each. I was wondering what you guys suggest as a good amp to power these. I want to try not to spend more than $300. I am currently looking at the Hifonics zx7500. Its 2x500 watts rms at 2 ohms (i checked with hifonics since there were discrepancies with the specs from different sites). Its only $250 with shipping on ebay. Any thoughts would be great.

i had the 12" blaupunkt overdrive and it was good...until it got stolen. anyone had any experience with the hifonics zx7500?

I also see the Tsunami DB 1100 has about the same power out put for about the same price. does anyone have any experience with it? is it better than the hifonics?

i have a tsunami DB 1100d pushin two 12" kicker L5's and i love it, the amp has never acted goofy on me or nothin. it pushes more then 1100 watts. i used a meter on it and it kept going to 1233-34 between there. i had two 12" RF punches that said they could hold 500rms a piece. they blow in the first couple hours of being hooked up. in my opinion the tsunami amp. is dependable and packs power for the price. if you got the subs that can handle the power i'd go with it.

does it pull alot of amperage? because i have not upgraded my alternator since none are easily available. does anyone have any experience with the hifonics amp....anyone?

if your looking at hifonics you'll find the right amp. Those amp's pound.I'm currently running the bx1000 and its pounding the hell out of my cerwin vega v-max 15's.

can't go wrong with hifonics i got 2 bx1000d's pushing 2 JL 10W6V2 and thinking about gettin a zx8000 for my highs

The tsunami will likely take less amps then the hifonics zx7500 because it is a class d amp. Class d amps are more effecient then class A/B amps its probibly relatie to different brands but the tsunami should produce more watts with less amps based only on amp effeciently.
