#1 seed choking- Mavs

They'll come back now that their backs are up against the wall. And look at the Heat last year, they came back and beat Dallas in three straight. This is their year, and they'll get the job done.

first of miami won 4 straight, and it shows just how mentally fragile dallas is. dirk is not as great as people like to make him out to be. he is not very good defensively, yes it's great that a 7 footer can shoot 3's and take you off the dribble, but he cannot beat you in the low post like an MVP power forward should.

I dont remember them saying he was the MVP. Did I miss something? Anyway, he dont deserve it. Hell his numbers are down from previous seasons and all I hear is how he will win the MVP this year. I think that if GS wins, that he shouldnt even be considered.

well the mvp is a REGULAR SEASON award so golden state will not effect wether he wins or not. he'll either win it or finish 2nd, so a player who is 2nd in mvp voting at the power forward position, should be able to work on the low block and play any sort of defense.

I don't think Dirk was MVP either, I firmly believe Kobe should of gotten it. No one else in the league put up his kind of numbers, while still carrying his team on his back into the playoffs.

He singlehandedly didn't score the majority of the team's points. And if you're looking in that kind of mindset, explain how Nash has gotten it the past two years? Sure he's a great leader, but he's definitely not the most talented in the NBA. Even though Nash led them to the Western Conference finals the past two years, I really don't think he's the most talented player on the team.

if it was the MTP (most talented player) award, then no nash wouldn't have won. it's most valuable player. nash makes that team go. he makes all the players better on that team. he elevates that team from a mediocre team to an elite team. he is the one who creates shots for marion, stoudemire, etc.
