1 or 2 amps

In general, would using 2 identical amps rather than 1 result in cleaner, more efficient power? or would it would be worse because they would be using the same power source? Any input/experience appriciated.
You only have one power source in a car. Efficiency totally depends on the amp not the number of channels.

So here is the scenario. 2 15"s that hold 750wRMS a piece. Would 2 Directed Audio 1500Ds for (each sub) running at 2 ohms be better (cleaner) than 1 Directed Audio 1500D (for both subs) running at 1 ohm?

Sounds like a monumental waste of money, to me.

if you have the power to push them then get both and just run them at 2 ohms each so you want be pushing them to max. and you never know when you may upgrade and get something bigger so you will already have the power to push just about whatever.
