Any update on fixing the loss of various threads/posts/redirects to changed URLs?

    Looks like shit.

I don't like that signatures are present in PMs - unnecessary clutter, IMO. Any chance we can do away with that? They didn't show previously. I also don't see the usefulness of the 'latest members' window on the home page. The 'latest posts' one is nice, though. Thanks for the responses and...

    Looks like shit.

I agree, these changes ****. Everything looks tiny - 27" 1440p monitor here. The worst part about these changes is that lots of threads/PMs look to be getting wiped out. Tons of great information from old(er) threads, gone. Not just old stuff, either. Can't seem to visit pages before 205 of...

To be honest, I'm not a fan of (replica) kit cars overall. I can appreciate the time and attention spent on the body work/visuals, but rarely ever does performance live up to the great looks as most seem to leave engines stock and untouched. The definition of all show, no go. It's a shame...

They offer three options IIRC; Toyota MR2 (surprise surprise), Acura RSX or a C5 Corvette. Looking on their website now though, and only the MR2 seems to be listed as the base, so not sure if they still offer kits based on the other two.

It's a DDR Miami GT4. In fact, I think this might be the exact one which has been on eBay for the past year; https://www.ebay.com/itm/1980-Replica-Kit-Makes-MIAMI-GT4-GT4-/142919843740

    UFC Predictions

What about Conor? I don't disagree; what Khabib did should not go unpunished. But when fighters recieve unequal treatment and/or punishment, the UFC can't hope to bring about a sense of professionalism and integrity to the sport that it so desperately needs. Conor jumps the cage for Aldo; ok...

    UFC Predictions

Ferguson vs. Pettis was nothing short of incredible. Of course, what followed was insane. I stayed up till the early hours of the morning to watch (UK), and I am beyond glad I did. From a purely entertainment perspective, it was absolutely riveting to watch live. As for Khabib's actions, they...

can someone help me pick out a computer power supply for car amp....

That is what you'd have to do, but I don't reccomend it. I only mentioned these high power PSUs to let you know they exist  :) Of course, these units will be putting out very close to 12V (mine is currently delivering 12.144V) and our car batteries deliver a couple more volts when running, so...

can someone help me pick out a computer power supply for car amp....

This particular model is discontinued now, but the 650 G2 is closest in spec (54.1A) and is $89 or so on Amazon.  Any high end desktop PSU should be able to deliver its 'rated power' solely on the +12V rail. If it's not '80 Plus' rated, it's most likely garbage. Google 'Super Flower Leadex...

can someone help me pick out a computer power supply for car amp....

Sorry, but this is incorrect. There are many PSUs on the market that will provide in excess of 50A on the +12V rail with ease. I'm sitting here typing this from a PC powered by an EVGA 650 GS, which is capable of 54A (648w) on it's single +12V rail. That said, I'd personally find a pro...

    Adire Audio is back!

I'm left a little underwhelmed with Adire's relaunch. My views are very similar to those of ciaonzo's. When the Tumult was being designed, some 15 or so years ago, Dan used to tease of 50/60/70mm one-way xmax designs. The issue was the limiting baskets and softparts available at the time. We...

Old School Ground Zero Hydrogen 10" Pair

Cheers. That's good to know, thank you. Indeed - might as well try and see if anyone does fancy them at this price, though. I've had them listed on a few UK classifieds for ages now, but no one is serious. The car audio 'scene' isn't great here - lots of shitty brands, etc. Just a shame to...

BNIB TC Sounds 5200 Custom splaudio softs

Are you referring to the 5th picture? If so, that is just tape over the gap to keep debris from entering it until the recone is actually glued in. The VC is aligned via the use of shims positioned between the former and pole piece (as normal).

Looking for some of the above, I know a few of these can be had from well known sites/sources, but figured it wouldn't hurt to see if anyone had any lying around. Soft compliance 10" (or 9.75") spiders are, however, not one of those items easily found these days; both linear and progressive...

    Build me a conputer

Doesn't sound like you require much graphical horsepower, so I would put most of the budget into a decent CPU + RAM. Forget the FX series, and anything 4 core/4 threads (i.e. i5). I would recommend a Ryzen 7 (8C/16T) series CPU and 16-32GB 2933-3200MHz RAM with latencies around CL13-14...

What car would you buy with a $13,000 budget?

Did you read the proceeding replies? I don't know how best to explain this, so I will revisit the subwoofer analogy; it is akin to saying "driver X with a 4" voice coil beats driver Y with a 3" voice coil", and then posting a video of someone who is indeed using driver X which is putting up...

What car would you buy with a $13,000 budget?

I definitely didn't/don't mean to derail this thread, but I thought I'd seek clarification regarding that statement because it's a specious argument. To make such a claim is analogous to concluding that "a 2000w rated 4" VC driver will eat a 1000w rated 3" driver". There is so much more going...
