What annoys the ***** outta you/pisses you off...

Martin.... Luther.... King.... Jr..... Day. Why is this a federal holiday??? Why am I being inconvenienced by not being able to walk into my bank today??? This man was NOT a government official. He was considered a radical by the U.S. government and was watched by the F.B.I. So why is this a federal holiday? Because there are certain people who think it is ok to commit crimes and not have to pay for them. Two government people originally wanted to make this "Holiday" and it was voted AGAINST. Later, President Regan also said NO only to sign a bill later on, probably due to pressure from the King Center, making it a holiday. I know if I went out and engaged in Civil Disobedience I sure as hell wouldn't have a damn federal holiday. I'd be sitting in jail. SMH.

    The Drums are Wrong!!!

Something I have noticed over the years about recorded music and live music is that the drums are wrong. I have even noticed this incorrect thing at concerts. Ok, what am I talking about? Once you know, it may get on your nerves as well. Ok, I will use the band Cannibal Corpse as the example. I have seen them in concert and was right up against the stage as the picture shows. For reference as I am facing the stage as seen in the pic right will be the right of the pic, left will be left of the pic and this is how it is recorded on their albums. Ok Pat O'Brien plays guitar on the right side of the stage, Rob Barrett is on the far left, Alex Webster, the bassist is on the left but in between the guitars. Vocals are centered where George Fisher sings in front of the centered drums. Panning is the issue. When Pat plays a guitar part it is panned to the right in concert and on CD. When Rob plays a guitar part it is panned to the left in concert and on CD. The drummer, Paul Mazurkiewicz is right handed and his drum rolls go visually (Viewing the stage) from right to left. Again, that's right to left. When listening to and viewing the concert, the sound was left to right, listening to the CD, also left to right... backwards!!! They pan the drums from the perspective of the drummer as apposed to the listener. I have noticed the WHOLE drum set is backwards. The bell of his ride, which I have watched him bang away on is to HIS right, our left when viewing him from the audience. It is audible on the right both in concert and on the CD. I have noticed this recording error on many many albums now. Why are they recording drums from the view of the drummer and not the listening audience as they are doing for the rest of the bands? Go ahead... go listen for yourselves... they are doing it wrong!!! Someone PLEASE find me a band that has the drums recorded from our perspective as the listener. The pic is from the concert my brother and I attended on March 3, 2015 at the Fillmore in Charlotte, NC. I got hit/kicked in the head by a crowd surfer and almost knocked out for the last song of the night (Hammer Smashed Face)

Oh... and my boss decided I should work 8 days in a row with no days off. My job isn't hard by any means but damn, I don't want to be in that building for 8 days in a row doing the exact same thing night after night. Normally by the 5th day in a row I am ready for my two days off. People keep calling out, quitting or get sent home early... except me. Man I wish I was still 16 and living at home with my mom and dad taking care of everything. Time to play the lotto again... F**K.

The USPS. What a bunch of lazy asses. 8 Days from Singapore to the US.... It has already been in the US for 6 Days and now the USPS tracking is saying "Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility." Chances are it is going to take longer to go 2,450 miles in the United States then it did to go the 8,770 miles from Singapore to LA.

  14. I am starting off in pieces and apparently you need several pieces that aren't even part of the build. Ok, so the goal is literally this: Active 2 way front stage with a single 10 subwoofer, no rear speakers, no center channels, DSP, two amplifiers, possibly an aftermarket HU but may stick with the OEM, and because of everyone who joined in on the "40" pages of helpful bashing has convinced me, a second battery. Prep so far includes: Have on hand 100ft 12awg red and black speaker wire 100ft 12awg blue and black speaker wire RF 3Sixty.3 DSP HP Laptop With REW and 3Sixty.3 software installed Foam speaker rings RF 10" Subwoofer 1/0 ground blocks/lugs x 5 4awg to 4awg cable adapter/reducers x 4 (power and ground for both amps) Stinger ground and power distribution blocks Stinger 300a circuit breaker (for disconnecting system power quickly) Black nylon cable straps of various gauges Rubber grommets of various gauges (up to 1/0awg) Other misc. supplies Still needed The car The speakers The sound deadening The second US Acoustics amp The custom sub enclosure The calibrated USB mic (Dayton UMM-6) The other misc. supplies
  15. Hell, I'd like to hear the system period. I have Thursday and Friday off. I am going to remove the door panels and then the speaker pods. I will then install the Silverflutes and DD's in the pods. Hopefully with pics

    New components??

Before you jump on another set to replace what you already have... Grab some decent sound deadening material and treat your doors, If you haven't already. Put gasket material behind the speakers to mount them, if you haven't already. Perhaps some Stinger brand "Fast Rings" as well.

I'm pretty much spread out on the music I listen to. It helps if you have the lyrics in front of you... it's easier to make out the growling into words lol. On the opposite end vocally of metal is King Diamond... he sings with a falsetto. Ever seen Clerks 2? When Jay and Silent Bob are first seen, that music is King Diamond "Welcome Home" from the album "Them". A great band to listen to vocally is Testament. He sings but when he growls it is real low but you can still hear all the words clearly... great talent. Their guitarist Alex Skolnick is a Jazz guitarist but his Metal guitar is outstanding.
