3500 watt amp with 3000 watt subs

For now only a stock alternator (180 amp), buying a XS D2400 for the front, still doing research/not sure on what/how many batts to get for the rear, big 3 upgrade with 1/0 OFC wire and also amp power/grnd with same 1/0 wire. What you think? I know I'll need a higher output alternator but noone makes one ready for my car (2008 ISF) and I don't have time to take mine out and send it to get boosted up. You think if I kee the gain down a bit I won't run into probs?

Do you know where I can get one and how much they usually run?

3500 watt amp with 3000 watt subs

I will look into the oscilloscope, thanks guys. Well I really wanted the BL but I have an ISF and my trunk space is very limited. I went with a sealed box just because I will still have trunk space left. The BL's I read can't be placed in a sealed box.
5. So I found a good deal on a saz-3500 amp and have ordered 2 FI Q 12" subs (1500 Rms/each). I was just curious as if this would be too much power for those subs. I know that I will have to keep the gain down as to prevent clipping and such (I think I saw some tutorials online on how to set the gain with the DMM), but would I be better off with a saz-25000? Not looking to win any competitions here, and I definitely won't be slamming my speakers 24/7, but I do enjoy the occasional THUMP that is why I am getting this system. Thanks in advance

Sealed Box frequency??

Thanks, so since subsonic filter doesn't matter in my application, what would I set it to?

New speaker guidance (Fi Q's)

Thanks for the heads up, my lex is already out of warranty so not worried about that but I will be hooking up the Stinger meter asap to get an idea of what my voltage is reading and go from there. Solid advice though thanks! Why is that I have only heard good things about them? What do you recommend?

Sealed Box frequency??

Are sealed boxes tuned to a certain frequency or is that just for ported enclosures? The reason I ask is I have a sealed box and was wondering when I get my system hooked up, what I should set the subsonic filter to. I heard usually a few hertz below the "tuned" hertz. Here are the specs of my box and speakers: 2 Fi Q 12" : Fs: 34.2 Hz Re: 0.7 Ohms/coil Qms: 7.63 Qes: .39 Qts: .37 Mms: 249g Cms: 0.87mm/N Sd: 481cm^2 Vas: 28.3 l Spl: 86.5dB 1W/1m Bl: 13.9 N/A Xmax: 28mm Rms: 1500W Sealed box: .8-1.5 High QTScuft Ported box: 1.8-2.5 cuft @ 28-33Hz Sub OD: 12.500” Cut ID: 11.125” Mounting depth: 7.000” Displacement: 0.16cuft and the box specs (sealed): - 3/4" and 1/2" MDF Construction - Black automotive carpet - Holds 2 round 12" subwoofers (10" subs may be substituted upon request) - 1.15 cubic feet per chamber (volume can be reduced upon request) - 9.5" mounting depth - Round spring loaded speaker terminals - Sealed air tight w/liquid nails caulk - Roughly 25 lbs. New speaker guidance (Fi Q's)

Thanks guys for all the input. I have ordered 2 12" Fi Q's, the 1/0 gauge wires (for rear battery run, amp run, and big three) and the stinger meter so far. I will be ordering the yellow top battery and amp next paycheck (most likely sundown 2500). Will keep yall updated! Oh and can I just get any battery recharger from like auto zone or is there one you guys recommend?

New speaker guidance (Fi Q's)

Is there a way I can add a digital meter so I can know what my resting voltage is at every start up? Where would I hook that meter up to? I think I can manage the battery and the 1/0 wire. How would I charge the battery every week if I do hammer hard at any given time?

New speaker guidance (Fi Q's)

Where exactly should I put the deadener, just the trunk? Also you have any good deadener you can recommend and how much sq. feet I should get? I'm trying not to spend hundreds of dollars on it but will take your advice. Thanks in advance.

New speaker guidance (Fi Q's)

Sweet man what you gonna have bumpin in there? Oh and do you know of anywhere I can get a custom ported box for my ISF? I picked this box because it fits nicely into my trunk but if I could get someone to build me a ported box similar to this one I'd be all over it so I could get that monster bass.

New speaker guidance (Fi Q's)

Thanks for all the good info guys. Yea I kinda freaked when he said 3 batteries, no clue where I would even put them all. But like you said since I already have the box why not try it. A buddy suggested to keep my stock battery and add a Power XS batt in the trunk and then go from there.

New speaker guidance (Fi Q's)

Hey Guys, Just decided to install a system in my 2008 ISF. I have this sealed enclosure which I bought from a friend and got it because it still leaves me with a decent amount of trunk space in my little trunk: I'm sure that's probably not the best box ever, but eh I like it and it seems pretty sturdy. Anyway, I have decided to go with the Fi Brand subs. I really wanted the Fi BL's but I noticed they only recommended in a ported box so that's out. So the next best Fi sub I found would be the Fi Q. With the High QTS option added. Take in mind I will most likely be purchasing a Rockford Fosgate T2500bd amp to accompany the speakers. The goal of my system is to have a nice sounding bass but with the capability to shake the Earth. My question's are as follows: Do I get these 2 subs made as a 1-ohm DVC or 2-ohm DVC? This is an option on the Fi website Will I see a difference in bass levels from the 1-ohm DVC and 2-ohm DVC? What kind of battery should I get for my car to supply this system? (upgrade stock battery vs upgrading stock AND adding secondary battery) Will that amp provide enough juice or should I look into something more like an AQ 3500?? Any chance I will be able to do hair tricks with this setup or is there a way I can tweak this setup so I can? From my research I think I'd have to get 1-ohm DVC's wired in parallel to get down to the 1-ohm stability of the amp, but I am a novice at systems so any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot guys, us new guys really do appreciate all the guidance this forum provides and if you need any more info I'd be glad to provide.
