    Preperation for saz-3500?

Ill have to pass on that one man you live a little to far away. What does the agm charger do? Is there a certain brand that I will need or a specific one in general? Yes it is a 2 pin hahaha. Ill have to wait on the alt a while a little out of my budget. Yeah I cant wait to get them but they keep pushin the release date. Can you all answer any of the other questions? Thanks for the help guys
  4. Hi guys I need some help with what I need to do to be on safe side of things for an SAZ-3500. -2006 Silverado -160 AMP stock alternator -Red Top Optima under the hood -Currently no installed BIG 3 but I do have it Alright Ive read a bunch of things on here. I will be runnin 2 D4 sundown X 15's in a bandpass blowthrough. Juss bought an saz-3500d. Believe me or not bc ppl think Im liein but I am currently chargin at 15.40 volts with what I have listed above. I do not plan upgrading my stock alternator. I have Audio Technix OFC 0/1 AWG Big 3 and Amp kit. Questions? -Will one XS power D3400 be enough battery? -Will it shorten the life on the xs power if I it together with my 1 yr old Red top? -Should I wire it together with the Red Top or juss do a separate run off the alt? -Is it possible to ground the amp to the battery? -Can I juss ground rear battery to body on clean surface?

  7. -2006 chevy Silverado single cab -(2) sundown z v.3 12"s -juss listen to everyday music, mostly decaf -desired tuning is always around 33hz for me Okay I have no clue what kind of room this would leave to play with, but the first thing to start off with is the port whole itself that ill cut in through the cab. The biggest I could possibly go is (10 tall x 52 wide x 6 thick). As far as the box itself in the bed. Max is (17 tall x 60 wide x 21 front to back). Would rather build to the tallest and widest so I can still get my dirtbike in my truck with the tailgate down. Im goin to upload a pic I drew up of actual sizes of the bed to maybe see if the box was to have to go past 21inches (btw im no artist). Would rather build 6th order and kerf port the inside box. Anyone willing to help would be my life saver and I appreciate each and everyone of your oppinions. Thank you!

American Bass VFL Hybrid 4480.1D Mini

Juss bought a vfl 4480.1d and I must say I am very impressed!
  9. 2006 Silverado -145 amp alternator -stock wiring -red top optima Okay guys when I say charging problems its a little different. I drive an hour away to college 4 days a week. Morning voltage is great, holdin between 15.20 and 15.40 whether I'm bumpin or not. The thing is I usually don't play my sub at all in the morning and Ill hold that 15 volts until I'm about 45 to 50 min's into it when all the sudden my voltage drops down in the 13's. If I drive for another 20 min's its all the sudden back up to the 15's. If I stop and shut the truck off than back on it instantly solves the problem. On my way back home its the same deal but by than its already 80 degrees outside and its drops down to the 13's within 25 to 30 min's. I've noticed the hotter it is outside the easier it is for this to happen. As the day goes on the more I drive my truck the worse it gets. This is weird to me bc all this happen whether I'm playin my sub or not. Im sure there is a lot of factors that could be playin in this but I'm feeling as if I have a bad ground. If I let the truck sit for days the battery gets low on charge. I understand that the battery could be low on charge and the alternator is charging it bc of my 15 volts but I've been having this problem for nearly a year. I plan on adding an XS power d3400 and a big 3 but will this help or worsen my problem? any suggestion and opinion's are appreciated

  13. 06 Silverado -145 amp alternator -Red Top 1000 -Will be adding Audio Technix Big 3 1/0 and 1/0 Amp kit -I have a Dual 1 Z v.3 in a kerf ported console box 2.024 internally and 2.78 overall tuned to 33hz Only options is 2ohm or .5 ohm. Originally wanted the saz-1200d and still might but will have to run at .5 if I do. The VFL is 325 and Hifonics is 368 on ebay. If I was to get either of the two I would probably run at 2 ohm. What is your all opinions on the better amp to go with? Need help soon really wantin to buy before the end of the day.

Thermal loading help? Sundown Z v.3

So do I really have anything to worry about unless I start smelling the coil. My sa-12 would get stinky all the time and that's why I got the Z which still handles it a lot better. I clamped it today at 60hz with 666 watts. Im building a bogger box at the moment and I was wonderin if that might keep me from clipping or will I be able to turn the gain down and get the same performance out of a bigger box?
