What brands do people like for speakers?

Everyone has theyre favorites. Id pick a budget and do some research and then run a thread even to find out what works or has worked best in that type of vehicle
  14. If it were me/my truck.. Id rip all that Stock stereo out and go all after market to make it go in much easier as well as hassle free.get my Supply for the demand in tact and never have to worry about not having enough power for the demand.Do some deadening on the doors and some of the flooring, to get rid of road noise and looking for raw drivers to get some really nice sound within the cabin.Gut out some space like getting rid of the jack storage compartment to gain space for a good ported enclosure for at least a good 10 like a Dayton HO.What kind of budget are you working with? Id run those US Amps before buying any new amplifier.I like run old school amps myself and do where I can, especially on mids and highs.. love that 0.01% THD. Not Class D amps but those old A/B amps sure are pretty dependable. And sound good as well.A scroll fan or fans helps keep them running cool.

    Check out this sub

    Sure enough.LOL.

    Protection mode

Remove the connections of the sub from the amp and check each coil with a DMM(Digital Multi Meter) and check your coils. Sounds like you may have a bad coil on your sub. Its best to pull the sub and check at the base of the sub right at the connections. Its possible you have a bad coil and sending your amp into protect mode.Try this first.A 145 amp alt and the Big 3 even with 4 ga wiring and good grounding should be plenty for up to approx 1500 rms after market system for power needs in most cases.Check sub first and come back let us know what you found out.You should be reading between 2.0-2.5 per coil, if jumps around not reading ,that coil is no good/fried. You can live with 1.98-2.6 sitting per coil. its within limitations.Check sub first!!

    Mitsubishi Eclipse box+sub suggestions

Kid across the street has an 03 eclipse. It was all we could do to get a 2.0 @32 htz enclosure in the rear hatch area with an XFL 12.Sub Rear Ported rear@ approx 9 inches. to keep the use of the back seats. Cant imagine trying to sardine in a pair of 15s back there, even with the seats down for proper enclosure needs t serve any justice. A pair of decent 1 k tens will surfice

    Looking for wiring advice

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NVX-XEQ7-7-Band-Car-Audio-Graphic-Equalizer-with-3-5mm-RCA-Aux-Input/361446616842?hash=item5427e5af0a:g:h9IAAOSwwqVcShZs:sc:ShippingMethodStandard!75189!US!-1:rk:53:pf:0 This is what Id spend my money on.If keeping what you have in the dash.I wouldnt spend 600 bucks on a dsp, unless I was upgrading everything and didnt mind spending money. Depending on the brand of EQs you can spend as little as $40 bucks on up.This will give you some options with additions with amps and making fine tuning at your fingertips to clean up any of your music

    Loudest components for under $120?

https://www.ebay.com/p/Lanzar-OPTI6MI-6-5in-Car-Speaker/115148931?iid=264002105666 You want Loud? Pair of these on 200 watts get pretty loud for the $. I have 2 sets of these for back ups and have 2 sets of Pyle pros.Pyles do nicely and dirt cheap off Parts Express. Buy 4 and get a decent deal. But the Opti are really loud with some power. Just another option to consider
