10 jl sub, infinity amp, 4 jl speakers, 2 tweeters, kenwood stereo.
  1. I have four. And yes, I do have plenty of time to run another wire to the trunk.
  2. Currently, I have a pretty decent sound system in my car but I would like to add a mono amplifier to my 10'' JL subwoofer. I have the current subwoofer and my four speakers bridged to my infinity amplifier under the passenger seat. I would love for anyone to lend me a hand here to how to install that mono amplifer to my subwoofer and know all the wiring and what not. Thanks.
  3. The volume controls on the iPhone are disabled once I plug it on the USB cord. I have it on vibrate right now just in case.
  4. By the way I like the alex gray Picture. I'm a tool fan haha thank you for the help
  5. Actualy I can't hear it as much now. Im listening to music as we speak and I don't hear it anymore. I think that's what the problem was. I thought it was something even worse, first replace speakers but they were fine and then I thought it was the head unit but it's working fine now. Awesome. Thank you everyone that posted their ideas.
  6. Yeah I tried cleaning out all the jacks, USB jack coming from the back of my head unit and also the apple USB cable with a dust remover but I can still hear it. Do you think it's the Kenwood head unit?
  7. before you tell me im in the wrong thread and try to act smart and all that, try and be nice and let me know where exactly i should be posting this thread and i will gladly appreciate it. im new to this. thank you. i have the following items in my car... INFINITY 475A 4-CHANNEL AMP CAR STEREO AUDIO AMPLIFIER | eBay PACKAGE: JL AUDIO 6.5" COMPONENT SPEAKERS+6 1/2" COAX | eBay Kenwood KDC-MP642U iPod/USB/CD/MP3 In Dash Receiver | eBay NEW JL AUDIO 10W1V2-8 10" 10W1 CAR SUBWOOFER SUB 8 OHM | eBay my sub and speakers are both bridged to my amplifier and its been working just fine like that. unfortunately for the past month I've been noticing a weird pop sound with fussiness (like a tic or when a vinyl record was scratched or old and you hear the music but in the back ground you hear that fussy and pop noise) when I'm playing music from my iphone and its happening more frequently now. i try listening to the radio and i dont hear the tic sound, it actually sounds a lot better, it only seems to do it when im playing music through my iphone. does anybody have any ideas to why this is happening? my speakers are fine because the sound quality hasnt changed at all if i put the volume all the way up or down.
  8. I tried changing the USB cord for my iPhone and checked the ground to see if it was still in place but still I hear the sound as I'm typing. Actually I went through a whole song without the noise. But still do you have any other ideas to why the noise? And also my Kenwood head unit would turn itself off and back on when I try to go to the settings. Any help I'll appreciate it. Thank you
  9. thank you man really what you said makes sense. and yeah im about to check that cable out and see what the deal is because really i hate hearing that annoying sound while blasting some dub. and here's a link that might help you... am i close to blowing my speakers?

thank you. ok i just came inside from messing with my system and the popping sound happens just randomly really not even on high or low sounds it just happens but not constantly or when turning off/on the car. its a single pop like sound like you said, not a real fast popping sound. it gets lower and higher sometimes as the volume goes up. and im guessing its coming from the front speakers or tweeters according to my ears. i mean i dont know if its the speakers or my tweeters. hopefuly its my tweeters because i really dont want to replace my jl speakers. oh and also when i try to check my gains and stuff through my kenwood head unit it would turn it self off by just clicking on the button but i would still have my music playing from my iphone. i couldnt really get to the sound menu without it turning off by it self. if you need any more information let me know.
