  1. I know but essentially it'd be used on high level inputs so basicly it is with a DSP/autotune[emoji14] I've read another forum thread referring to it as such when somebody asked for the "best LOC" the ms8 was basicly the answer. Kinda changed the way I thought about the ms-8 is all. Made me laugh at first. But its kind of is[emoji14]none autotune you'd recommend none of the other DSPs for a noves as a loc but the ms8 is so easy if you can wire a loc you can wire an ms8/ and interface use dumb proof. It was a genius design to be honest. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  2. If you have the Rockford deal get an rf loc. Honestly gear is gear. If your pre ampinhba 700$ amp by all means at minimum audio control local. But we're not really talking in those terms if I had that deal I'd keep the theme. RF make a 4 channel local either or honestly though if moneys no aspect. An ms8 makes a great loc and tunes your system. Sometimes had at 300$ so for 100$ more your increasing fidelity 10 fold. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  3. Thank you so much! That explains it perfectly to me. What's a scope you'd recommend I'm considering the investment. I was going to ask about that nano scope I saw it. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  4. I never understood how those pots worked with the gains of the amp. I've never used em felt like I'd blow speakers.. What about the USB scopes? Their pretty affordable the one brand doesn't ground right but the other one has great amazon reviews lol Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  5. Makes sense. Your just basically taking all your Marble's individually counted but dumping them all in one bucket instead of 6 buckets is the way metalize what is being discussed here. A ground is a ground is what people don't realise in ac ground litterly means a ground point into the dirt at one point in that circuit but in DC cars ground represents a floating point in the car as the whole CaR chassis returning to the opisite pole on the battery and there by anything attached to it. Hense for the deck chasie that is grounded to the car via mounting. Than in this example grounded to the rca jacket which is the ground. Simply a return highway. Basicly turning a single labe highway into a 10 lane highway. If theirs traffic it diverts to the next clearest path so on and so forth. But in the form of electrons that our equipment reads the outputs than its sent off to eventually ground out and be reborn energy again and reprocessed and back through the. Circuit. As energy never dies. Just changes form. Eventually it turns into the corssion of the plates in our battery's and stop "living" Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  6. So something like an spdif to 2 channel stereo converter would be simple enough? Rears may be pointless to you but not to everyone. I ride with allots people. Road trips. This cars audio build is built to from my experience and what i want. Now the reason your not understanding I want the 5.1 decoded is I'm told allot of processors don't do centers well with rears so I was told by a member on a forum it'd be adventitious to use the canter channel in much the same way I plan to do the navigation feed. 7. so i'm trying to work out this system, still kinda hung up on some things, this new car is messing up my plans, i have been working on a build around JBL 660's for years, finily got these parts together now i have this 2015 kia soul, perfect i love it for my ideas. I get the equipment, I'm almsot ready than i find some issues. sigh..... the quesiton is, do i want processing? It'd be nice yes. I fully understand the technology i've been to car shows i;ve seen 15k$ car builds, 600$ car buids. I get it, but what will i be happy with? that never seems quite as easy as it sounds to figuire out. so, this thread if me trying to figuire that out. but, the staging is nice stock as is, the eq seems nice, who knows what it'll be ont he new equipment but. but i could do the cheaper route than upgrade later? idk i dont think i'm digging back into this for awhile..if i get a tuneable one thats cool it give me more out of the project really to me, that is what i like. the tinker. to be a craftsman and to tinker that is my passion and that is why we are all here I believe. So for starts I'll be using the stock head unit, not sure if i will retain stock amp or not. want some real input on this matter. the navigation \ center channel so you see why i want to keep them :P the navigation rocks, 8" capciative touch screen, upgrades to android auto, i'm keeping this reciever. the stereo puts out a digital 5.1 SPDIF signal into stock amp. at first i thought. alrright awsome! but than i was informed most DSP's won't decode and only wont take a coded signal such as DOLBY DTS and the likes. I belivee my output on my 2015 kia soul to be 5.1 DOLBY. heres the diagram at the amp of the harnesses I'd be tapping into most likley, as i could also run SPDIF and navigation from behind the stereo to achieve the best quality connection also, but seems like more work and for what exactly? this is the harness setup behind the stereo - solution A - wire these 6 analog outputs into the input of a process Talked to a few company RF, Rainbow. there techs inform me this type of method should work, the rainbow 1.8 has navigation inputs, and the RF .3 will allow descrete passthrough of a channel so i can basicly pass that low level navigation signal to the processor to be passed through with high levels into the channel of the amp i on the SQ4070. the germans seem far more helpful americans just wont answer a quesiton they don't know...or aren't 100 % sure. idk why. I do not know of any other units that decode cant find anything car grade. these looks cheap. i dont like the idea of them being he back bone of my stereo and being so cheap. so I'm headging. ideas? anybody know anything? units that take 5.1 DOLBY in - JBL ms-8 Alpine H800 the idea i'm doing is really good sound..do i need a processor? i don't know, i do like a high end system .i've had an ms-8 in a system ive heard h701's, 360.2, all kinds, i do like the upgrade you really get, BUT my car does already have premium features, so am i satisfied enough for the EQ and DSP of stock setup. I kinda of honestly am, so i could get more dynamics with the upgrades alone and the volume i want without adding prcessing, so the real question is am i creating my own problems? No processing design (I'd likly use the JBL passive crossovers or I could use the mmats crossovers I believe. - WITH Processing - You can picture the rest from here, the MS-8 setup is basically with out the decoder, and I'd have to get a line converter for the navigation channel. my question regarding my plans on the navigation feed, is this even sane? or am i retarted. seems like it makes sense to me but I don't know how the amp on the circuit is going to affect the performance of it, will it be recognized in this sense as a load? will it affect the property of the driver its self. I suspect it could easily add noise?

    Rules ****

use google, they give you like 10gb freee upload, you set up a shared folder and you can link your imaegs and people not loged into your account can see shared folders. i do that with my build logs, those photo hosting sites **** google gives you either full qualty of half quality saving i think you have to pay now for full quality backup but they're plenty good at half. like 1.2mb a picture instead of like 6. its like an 8mp picture instead of a 12.

  10. I want to trade some gear for a processor perhaps. I'd really much rather cash in hand perhaps a cahs and trade deal. I might consider other items. considering a RF360.3 or an ms-8 not quite sure whitch direction i desire yet, automatic tickles my lazy bone. Image Dynamic XS65 Helix B2 Arc Black 12 motor

  12. alright this is a complex situation with some newer situations i dont seem to be finding around the web. so my car has the infinity system, kia's UVO system is like the SYNC or Microsoft i suppose. its a nice unit. I love the navigation. I want to be able to retain stock appearance, i'm already working all that out, but I also want stock functionality. ~Volume control at helm and steering wheel retained. if i feed the spdif into a decoder or the spdif into an MS-8 will i retain volume control? its obviously sent over spdif? or perhaps volume control is one of the other wires, B perhaps? ~navigation voice carried through (oddly enough it's not processed directly untill the stock amp) So, lets start with a Diagram of the wiring at the amp, whitch I think is where I'm going to tap and mount the new processor. I need to know some things perhaps if anybody can help me, i'm not sure where to look, just some advice on resources I'm not fully trained in the automotive industry, so where to find specs and such isn't always so stright forward to me. I need to know what the CAN + and CAN - are, and what B+ and B- are. also, can I pass through the navigation through a processor possible as a 7th input the rockford fosgate 3sixty.3? I plan to run the SPDIF from the car stereo whitch is encoded 5.1 DOLBY into a decoder into 6 channel analog into the RF 3sixty.3 for processing from that point. so, my question is _ A - can i wire it throughh the prcessor as a 7th channel name it something like center 2, and run it to its own channel on an amp, but than after the amp, tap that ouput to the same output that goes to the center to put navigation voice on the center. B- take the navigation + and - to a Line out converter, outside the processor loop, and wire it in like above from their. also. my car has the fancy dancy light up speaker rings, idk if that goes to the amps of it comes right out the stereo. this is the system design i'm attempting to do now
  13. ill get them up, just cant find my phone this second but had another sale up, but wanted to get the word out
