    Recommend me a sub

Thanks for the feedback. Ill let him know about the upgrade process and give him some advice about sound deadening. I might have some extra laying around so ill try to help out. I like how 35hz boxes sound so I'll let him demo some music before hand and see how he likes it. I dont think he'll ever upgrade in this car so single sub set up is the target.

    Recommend me a sub

We'll end up upgrading battery in front and running 0 gauge. Just trying to get a rough estimate for a sub. I was looking at a Soundqubed sub as well

    Recommend me a sub

My nephew has fallen in love with bass. I'm giving him an audiopipe 1800. He has less than 200 to spend on a sub and he plays sports so he needs his trunk. He has a 2003 Toyota Corolla with stock electrical. I would like for him to get a single sub. What are some subs that i should look in to? I was thinking a single 10 or 12 in a ported box. I'll worry about the box later.

    Taramps HD3000 for $179

How much power does this amp really do?
  6. Where is a good place to buy a hammer crimper?

    Going active?

Would I just be able to use the amp's crossover for the mids and tweeters? Run the tweeters off the front channels and set the crossover to 3500 and run the mids on the rear channels and set the crossover to 100 and set the gains using a dmm? Would that work? I'm trying to figure out my options

    Going active?

I won't sell but that DSP seems great. Still watching some youtube videos to get a better understanding of it but I have a question about powering the tweeters. They are supposed to have a 40 rms rating. How should I power them?

    Going active?

My head unit is only 2 way. Are there any DSP's available for around 100 bucks?

    Going active?

What qualifies a headunit to be capable of being active?

    Going active?

What do I need to do to go active? Right now I have Polk Audio DB6501 mid range with NVX VSPTW Tweeters and a Kenwood DDX375BT as my head unit. I also have some Kicker 6.5's in the rear doors and Alpine 6x9's. Most of this stuff has been used from previous builds so thats why its a bunch of mix and match brands. I tried searching on here and youtubing this topic but don't get the exact input I'm looking for. Any help will be appreciated.

    FU Audio FU1500TI-12

As it shows. I had Buck design a box for me and built it about 3 months ago. I also copied and pasted the wrong model number. Its a 15" not a 12". The box is 3.15 cubes tuned to 33hz. I was looking at some amps yesterday and was thinking about getting the 2500 watt Orion amp or maybe even something that does 3000 watts like the Wolfram amp but I'm still waiting for some more input

    FU Audio FU1500TI-12

A couple months ago I made a post about buying a new sub. I ended up buying this FU Audio sub and love it. Its being powered by an 1800 watt Audiopipe amp and its just not enough. I can't seem to find anyone else online with this sub and find any topics about them powering them. Every FU sub is rated much lower than they can actually handle. So now I'm looking for a new amp but not sure what I should be looking for. Should I aim for 2000 watts or should I go even higher like 3000?

Recommend a single subwoofer for small ported box

Yeah I had it from a previous build I haven't seen that video.. Is it on youtube? The 750's are rated at only 750 rms. Will they actually be able to handle more power than that?

Recommend a single subwoofer for small ported box

Oh i forgot to calculate for the dreaded box rise. You made a great point. Thanks for the great input. I was looking at the FI bl v3, Soundqubed Hdc3, DC Audio Level 4, FU Audio has a b stock sub for around the same price. So I'll add the sa12 to the mix and do some more research
