hey, stfu about the crx before i shut you the fuck up.
Its worse to underpower def.. it will ruin the sub... 500 is perfect for it.. just dont turn the gail all the way up becuause it will make the amp not perform at its best and can cause distortion.. turn it up about 3/4 and it will pound forever.. 6 or even 700w would be fine for that sub.. you will be ok

my friend is telling me that that kenwood amp i was thinking of getting for the 12" kicker will overpower it. the sub is 400rms and the amp is 500rms @ 2ohms. i read a lot of opinions online. some people say its safer to underpower while others say underpowering is more dangerous than overpowering and to just keep the volume down (specifically turn it lower when you start to hear distortion). what is your opinion? do you think that amp is suitable?<br />
