Is there a fix for my Pioneer AVH-4400NEX?

My Pioneer radio just stopped working the other day. When I turn my car on the radio will start up like normal but once it reaches the screen that reads "Pioneer" and says loading underneath, it will freeze for a few minutes before flashing white and going back to the "Pioneer NEX" screen. After this it will flash a few more times before the screen completely shuts off. Right before this started I was unable to use the touch screen or volume buttons. Hoping someone knows how to fix this so that I don't need to buy a whole new radio

Seems like Pioneer has had some issues with those in dash bigger receivers like that the last couple of years or am I completely wrong?

Been thinking about upgrading next year as well to a bigger in dash one like that but thinking I am going to go with Kenwood after I install that Dayton DSP.

Check out my post in a different thread. This fix worked for me. Not exactly the same problems, but It's worth a try if you don't mind turning a few screws and spending $10.

Good luck!

I too have had issues with my 4400NEX. I bought it factory refurbished but soon after had to send it in under warranty. The mother board was fried and got it back and all was good but it’s turning itself off at random times again. It hasn’t stopped working but likely a matter of time. I guess I will wait until the black screen then see if I want to repair again or just replace
