I just grabbed the highest rated one on amazon with what seemed to be a match to my amp. its 1.5 something something cap. sorry .. I don't know the technicals on this stuff. I'm a hook up wires and avoid the ones that spark kind of guy ;)

great info.. thanks for sharing. I'm coming up on 50 so blasting the subs isn't something I do often. it only clips with certain bass and I've learned what level I can go to before it happens to avoid it. There is a song from KB (Christian artist) called 10K that .. it clips no matter what lol...

ok so a larger amp is probably needed. It moves those 10" but not nearly as much as they are capable. thank you for chiming in, very appreciated :)

I have been trying to get my system ironed out in my bronco and .. keep hitting road blocks :( long story short... I now have two nvx 10" 1000rms subs in a proper box according to specs and a kicker 800 watt amp. I ran good wire to the amp, capacitor, low level inputs... seems like I've done...

ya.. I tried it last night and ... that amp doesn't push it all that well :( I have a 2k sundown amp on my shelf so maybe I'll tear apart the bronco and swap that one in. I can just never get that sundown to sound good. so I never use it. I tried it in a few different boxes... interesting how...

I was going to push just one speaker with that amp in a single 10" box. i have it (the amp) already installed behind the panels in my bronco And its currently pushing two older memphis 10's subs pretty decently and I'm hoping pushing just one of these nvx's will be better :unsure:

got a good deal on a brand new pair last night so i jumped on it. i have a skar single 10' sub box i was going to put one of them in and see how it does with that amp(nvx vcw102v3). thoughts :unsure:

Doesn't DSP just help with tuning? I line out converter into your amp I thought would be all you need and just tune it in yourself. :unsure: I am far from a modern sound guy anymore, I built systems 30 years ago and it was all soooo different then and this new stuff is over my head but that...

Well the end result for my bronco was keeping the kicker key 500.1 and running a wire to use an external box. So far .. I'm very happy. That little amp is impressively powerful for how small it is. It bounces these Memphis 10"'s easily and puts out big clean bass. I did try a sundown amp I had...
