When I have my bass down for a few days.. the sound will sound crisp and I can play it as loud as I want with no distortion. When I crank my bass up a little bit.. they start scratching a bit. Pretty bad. They will stay scratchy for a few days until I have played it enough with the bass down...

Is it true cold weather can blow a sub? I blew my W7 and that's what someone told me. I had never heard of that before. It was about 15 degrees and I was playin it,, not slamming but mid level and it just stopped,, took it in and both VC's are blown...

One of my buddies told me the cold weather did it. It was probably 30 that morning and freezing balls in my car. Could that be true?

go with a 13w7.... i got 144.4 db's on it running a JL 1000/1 on it... so yes that is your best

it was blown, gave to local shop, they determined both coils blown... how is that possible it was powered by a JL 1000/1 and it was refinished to brand new,,, it lasted about 13 months... wtf
