I don't think the arch is from loose connection as I can't make it any tighter and upon removal it takes a minimum torque to loosen the screw.
My original concern is that I don't know what this is and if there's a way to prevent more arching marks. Always a big spark when connecting the NEG...

I have an enclosure built already just have to cut out the holes but am not sure the best area.
They will be going on top inverted facing down, I'm sure the best position is in the port area section and at least 2 in from the port wall.
Should a catty-corner them, sort of offset, or aligned...
I used Oracle Lighting, expensive but worked for trim, they also have under glow lights, halo, head lights.

Take the time to break them in, press down on them now to feel the stiffness and after a solid 13 hours, feel them out again.... I personally put half the rated power to my 2 subs and after a week, applied the proper RMS.
I went to Amazon and purchased a set of 6 pin plastic ends and a crimper, whole lot cheaper then the new bass knob. Also take a picture of the pattern, it's simple to use a new end
I think it's also good to let your battery get a proper charge before and after heavy use. If you want to play with ACC, fyi Playing low, drains more power.
Thanks for the feedback, before I took the enclosure out of the vehicle I lined the internal walls with pollyfill and inverted the subs. Only then did I get the response I craved.
