is ur car a hatchback? cuz i don't think you would hear ur 6x9s other wise. idk maybe u could

sub and 6x9's

cuz im lazy and there was no room with the sub in the way and iI didn't want to mount them on the top of the deck because that would look gay

sub and 6x9's

I dont think it would look "GAY" if you mounted your 6x9's in the factory location. Just use the factory grills to cover the speakers if you think they look "GAY." If anything is "GAY" it would have to be putting your 6x9's in sealed enclosures, stuffing them in the trunk, and then giving your subwoofer box wings?? That is unless you fold your rear seat down every time you listen to your system. But then that seems kinda "GAY" having to fold your seat down everytime you listen to your system. Im not trying to "FLAME" you, just giving you my opinion. For real though, dont your highs sound muffled?

Your a funny kid..... One would think if you really wanted to hear the midbass from your 6x9s you wouldnt stuff them in the trunk, especially next to the sub. Did you ever think that the low frequencys from the sub would drown out any midbass you might get from your 6x9s? If you want midbass why dont you buy a good set of components, line your doors with a sound damping material, and power the hell out of them? If your 6.5 RF's are not cutting it in the midbass area try sound damping your doors. Sound damping equals better speaker response and better SQ. Oh yeah your sub will work more efficiently if you aim it toward the back of your car. Instead of aiming it toward your seat where you are depriving it of the air its trying to move. Try it, you might be suprised with the results. Its obvious to me that your a beginner, im just trying to help you out. Like I said im not trying to "FLAME" you.

sub and 6x9's

There were alot of reasons I chose to stick the speakers on the sides of my sub like"wings". One of the reasons was the rear deck has 4 inch holes in it. Also 6x9's obviously sound better in boxes. I turn the treble down just a little in the rear so the hear the front more. I'm really not trying to get highs out of some 6x9's I wanted the midbass. OH and if you want my opinion I think your a "GAY" flamer.

I don't really feel like dampening the car because I want to sell it soon. I have put the sub in may different places in the car including facing the other way and I found that I liked it the best facing the back seat. All I wanted was an average system that I could listen to. Im really not that worried about the finer details cause I hate the care in the first place.

Thats cool, I can see where you are coming from, My last car was a POS but I still had a system in it that was worth more than the car. The car rattled like crazy and sounded like ass on the outside, but I didnt care it sounded so clean inside.

So what type of vehicle you lookin at next?

sub and 6x9's

I hope you know that your really not going to hear the mids and highs of the 6x9's in the trunk like that, hence the reason why no one does it
