Re: Megaloud 12s

megaloud, cool man, thought those were only around my parts. How much power u giving those infernos?
I really like there amps.
a friend of mine helped design there products about 10 or so years ago. I have some experience with them, or could grt you pretty much any question u may have answered. dont go by there website for box specs.

Re: Megaloud 12s

Thanks, i have looked everywhere for more information about these subs but couldn't really find much, other than people talking down on them. Im running them both off one MegaLoud VX-1600.1 i am running them bridged in parallel. And yea i built that box from the specs on the website, but thought that it was kind of small so that's why i am running them inverted.

Re: Megaloud 12s

Yah people dont know alot about them so they tend to **** all over them.
honestly u need more power, 2500-3000W would be good and 2.5 cubes net/sub and that would slam.
what are u tuned at?
There vx1600 is a good amp, and the vx1200 4 channel is really good and its around $300
If u can pick up another 1600 cheap u would be in really good shape

Re: Megaloud 12s

I actually have another VX-1600 but wasnt sure if it was needed, so i decided not to run it to be safe. The box is tuned at 38 hz, like the website recommends. And I have the VX-1200 too but i dont really need that much to power my mids and highs right now. And i was running the the Inferno 15" but i sadly blew it.

Re: Megaloud 12s

well does it sound good and get loud enough for you?
If there D4 probably wont make a big difference cuase you cant strap them , but if there D2 you could run both amps and set the gains accordingly.
what are you powering your mids-highs with?
what vechile and electrical do you have?
what kind of music do u listen to loud?
have you ever been metered?
sorry for so many questions

Re: Megaloud 12s

It gets pretty loud, not as loud as my 1 15" which was a surprise to me. I am running the mids and highs off an old Sony xm-4540, its not much but it gets the job done. I haven't done much with the electrical, but its in a 1984 mustang. I listen to literally everything and it sounds good all around. No, i haven't had it metered yet, but i'm pretty curious to see what it does.
