Hope you guys could help me out I have a car audio set up that’s running 5,000 watt rms with a 250amp high out up amp running stock battery I wanted to upgrade the battery and I did to the optima yellow top DH6 biggest mistake while driving my car would literally turn off and turn back on again my stock lead acid battery was better so I reinstalled it what battery should I use since my stock battery does the job just not long enough

Sounds like your alternator isn't keeping up with your system, if the battery is getting drawn down enough to kill the car.

Give us some details of your setup.

I have a high output alternator running 250 amps the stick alternator only did 130amp I know I need a better battery set up

Lithium would be better forsure
But can't comment too much on them
I've always used agm
And doubled up when needed
I live in Canada gets quite cold here and I don't think most of them like canadian winters all that much
I know there are some that are fine
I may try one someday

It's extremely unlikely that your lead acid will out perform a yellow top
Something else may have been going on
Or a faulty battery

That’s crazy cause I thought the same thing I lost sleep just thinking about it I ended up getting a new one thru warranty I’m just scared I’ll have the same results that’s why I’m just trying to go the lithium route

If you go lithium you might also need a dc/dc charger in line to act as a regulator
Hopefully someone else with lithium knowledge can chime in

D4S are quick to reply to questions. They said my AGM up front is fine to use with their D4S Lithium Cap Bank.
