Featured Multichannel mono amps?

Here is a weird amp... both stereo and mono...

Some other weird 3 channel amp...

Yet another 3 channel.... MULTI CHANNEL mono amp.

Here is another MULTI-Channel mono amp. My OPINION is that someone on this site will argue that the manufacturer is WRONG.

Dual-Mono Amplifier

Here is a weird amp... both stereo and mono...
Four stereo amps in a single chassis, and each one can be bridged. So you go from 8 channels to 4, but more power. Pretty cool. Maybe biamp your mains, and bridge two of the stereo sets for the woofer sections.

A stero amp that can be bridged to mono is far from weird in the car audio world.
Not so common in the home audio world, but they sure do exist.

Three mono amps in a single cabinet? They've made them since the 60's. I remember selling the Denon POA8300 amps for home theater.
Still kick myself in the butt for not grabbing one at cost, but I got their monster AVR for 1/4 of retail, so I can't cry too much.
Yet another 3 channel.... MULTI CHANNEL mono amp.
Also three mono amps in a single chassis.
Techincally, all multichannel amps are just sets of mono amps in a box.

Emotiva does it the modular way, it seems.
I remember many years back, a mfgr sold the chassis, and you added the modules as needed.

In summation, multi-channel mono amplifiers do exist.
Amplifiers with multi mono amp circuity exist.

A mono audio amp will never be multichannel.

I suppose you could amplify a multichannel PCM signal that later gets decoded, but we don't drive our speakers directly with PCM data, so that would be apples an oranges.

Dual-mono amp.
Looks beastly. Two independent mono amps in one big box, I'd assume from the fact there is no mention of bridging capability.

Like using the Emotiva chassis coupler, to make one big box from two:

Didn't Rockfor make coupler caps for the Punch series that made them look like one big amplifier?

Here Rob, argue this.

Dual-Mono Amplifier. That is a left mono channel and a right mono channel. Guess what you can do to it? You can bridge this mono amplifier!! OMG it does exist!!!

Dual-Mono Amp.
yes. Two mono amps in a big box.
A triple-mono would be three in a big box, and so on.

You could easily tell the AVRs that were not-multi-mono, becasue their power ratings per channel would drop as more channels got driven.

Four single-channel independent amps in a box. No bridging, no power change if one or all channels driven.
Quadruple mono.

So I can bridge the left channel, and bridge the right channel to make two more-powerful channels? That's pretty wild.

Any idea how much power each channel makes after you bridge it to itself?
I think bridging will usually double the power, so it would then have 600 watts to the left channel, and 600 watts to the right channel after the bridging.

That's potent.

Oh see, now you are being you again. Look, I proved it exist and now you want to play your game.

That amp is two mono channels that can be bridged to one channel. Each mono channel is a mono amplifier. All in one chassis. You claimed no such thing exist. Here is proof that it does. I suppose this thread is now debunked, proved and done.

Proved what exists? A multi-mono amp that can be bridged? We know this exists already.
For decades.

You must be confused. I never said a multichannel amp could not be bridged.

It was a page back and the first post, so I'll remind you of what I was looking for.
I described these two things as the unicorns: "(mono amps with multiple outputs)" and a "monoblock amp" that "can be bridged to itself to make more power."

A stereo amp that can be bridged is neither of those two things.
A 3-channel amp is neither of those two things.
A dual-mono amp that can be bridged doesn't fit the bill.
An 8-channel amp where you can bridge some channels and leave others unbridged doesn't match, either.

Maybe "(mono amps with multiple outputs)" and a "monoblock amp" that "can be bridged to itself to make more power." really ARE unicorns. 'Sure would explain why I can't find any evidence of them, anywhere.

I'm not arguing semantics with you Rob. You claimed there are no mono amps that can be bridged. There it is. Conversation proved and over.
