What Rob needs to do is realize the words HE chooses to use for labeling anything, while it may technically be correct, is not and are not the only labels used by people to describe things. I mean damn, how bad do you need to win an argument??? Most of the time it is just a conversation until he post.

Bridging is the joining "bridging" of the two items, amps, circuits, if you will. What you're asking here is what a multi-channel amp essentially does: combine internal circuits to make one more powerful output. 2 to 1, 4 to 2, 8 to 4, etc.

Yes. But there are people claiming that they can bridge a monoblock car amp (a monoblock car amp being all of the circuitry on a board, housed in an enclosure, with external connection points for a single channel of audio.

I recongnize that a powerful monoblock amp consists of multiple mono amp chips that make the larger final output.
My question is about the completed amp, like the one pictured previously.

AS for the mono-stereo thing, not even relevant except to provide one or the other type of end-use result.

50 different channels combined to one is still a mono signal in the end, 50 mono signals separated to 50 outputs is still a mono signal out x 50.

I fail to see how, or even fathom why, there would even be a reason for such a circuit.

Nice dodge...the whole issue to begin with is you can't admit to being lost on a thread...you spun the fact in every direction now to avoid admitting that simple thing...

Manufacturers claim their amps put out 10,000 watts. And they have 10Amp fuses, with 8 gauge power wires.

An "800Watt" amplifier.
That draws 3Amps at 12V through a barrel plug.
Maybe not an 800Watt amp, even though the mfgr says so?
