You think a pizza delivery boy is a "professional driver"? Interesting.
So is my mail carrier a "professional walker"? Air Marshals "professional passengers"?
Driving was not his "profession", delivering pizzas was his profession.

He was trying to inflate the importance of what he did by lying about it. Part of his disorder.

DoorDash/etc delivery people are independent contractors. It's a "1099 job". They could call you a "package handler" if they wanted to.
Tell me: Is a DoorDash delivery person a "professional driver" when they deliver by bike? Simply driving a vehicle to deliver pizzas does not make someone a "professional driver".

Amazon delivery by bike.

I've never seen Thx "hide" that he was a pizza delivery driver. Since you bring up every other page, how could he possibly hide it? Are you suggesting that pizza delivery drivers are "less than?"

I've delivered pizzas and did a very short stint as an Uber driver. I was a driver in both cases, it didn't matter what I was ferrying around. When I applied for the pizza delivery job, they cared about one thing and one thing only, my ability to drive: did I have a valid license, did I have tickets, did I have a reliable car, was I familiar with the area I was driving in, could I read map, did I understand how the address system worked, did I have insurance, etc. I spent at least 75% of my time behind the wheel battling traffic. My buddy owns an Amazon delivery franchise and he refers to his employees as drivers not "package deliverers." When I go my company's main campus, there are shuttle drivers; should I stop referring to them as drivers; are they shuttlers, people movers?

Apparently, there are lots of people that literally drive around for a living and you don't think they're "drivers?" We have to explain the difference between violent actions and spray painting cars, we have to explain that some nicknames aren't literal and now we have to explain that all the people engaged in driving professions are indeed professional drivers. How do you get thru life? What happens when you meet that big dude that everybody calls Tiny? What happens when you encounter an Amazon driver when working case and have to get his profession for the case? Does it devolve into a 3 hour argument about how he isn't really a driver? Do list his profession as a Package Handler just to spite him?

Oh, so this Pizza Delivery thing is just an attempt to belittle THX. That makes sense, but why the need to try and redefine the profession? Seriously, did Thx drone on for 10 pages about what secretaries are or aren't? You really need to learn how to let things go. You don't have to prove any and everything you ever uttered is the undeniable truth and only possible interpretation of the situation.

Interesting, I'm not familiar with NPD, but an inability to admit they're wrong is a symptom. Ironically, I think Trump may also have NPD and I'm pretty sure if I searched the thread, there are plenty of examples of Rob calling Trump an narcissist. Ironically again, narcissist can spot other narcissists, but don't see it in themselves. Hopefully, he's just suffering from TDS and it will eventually fade away in a few years.

It came up when the discussion of gas prices was at the forefront. He self-described as "professional driver" instead of "pizza delivery".

Not suggesting it at all. Thx suggested that such jobs were "less than" when he was trying to argue against people making at least a living wage in their employment. He said such jobs (about 44 million in the US) are for people who are just "starting out" (or similar description) and that if they want more money they should just "get a better job".

Delivering pizzas is driving to deliver pizzas. That doesn't make you a "prefessional driver". It makes you a pizza deliverer who drives to do it. If the pizza is delivered by bike, are you a "professional biker", or a pizza deliverer?

If you are getting paid specifically to drive, then you are a driver. How much do pizza deliverers make if they just decide to drive around without a pizza to deliver?
