Trump organized a march to the capitol, he didn't tell them riot when they got there any more than BLM told their protesters to loot and burn the cities.

They wouldn't disperse and they were trying to march out onto i-25 and block the highway. I've lived in Denver my whole life and DPD is pretty darn lenient.

Right. The fact is when there are that many people around, there's bound to be at least a few shitheads. Sometimes not in anyway affiliated with the actual protesters either.

Blocking the highway is a shithead move too. But it doesn't fall under the definition of rioting. Certainly a safety issue. Public nuisance, no doubt.

I blame the non-profits and individuals funding this bs...and dipshits rioting...

I don't think you can blame the nonprofits either.....unless they specifically told people to riot. Otherwise....who knows what their roles were.

Can't you see the distinction? There is a difference between contributing to starting the riots and not acting to snuff them out or suing TrumpCo for sending in the military to assist the police - in essence giving the rioters their blessing.

I can see the distinction. And the entire argument falls apart considering what we know about January 6th. Trump had HOURS to call in help and chose not to.....despite advisors begging him to do something. He chose not to. And then he had the gall to pardon all of his rioters.

Point is that his behavior towards rioting depends solely on what the riots represent....and who's rioting.

Yeah, gotta admit Trump appears to be fumbling the ball on this one. Nevertheless, I don't think tariffs were the best approach. If I were POTUS, I try to force companies to manufacture here via other means - ie you can't do business in the US unless X% of your product/products are made here, etc.

Given what it costs just for him to go to Florida to golf every weekend, I'd find the parade cost numbers to be somewhat believable.
Of course, the final numbers will be available form the GAO. Will be interesting to see how much Dear Leader's birthday partry costs.

What are you talking about? I thought we came to an agreement that riots are blameless outside of the individuals committing the crimes. No fault attributable to Trump for January 6th and no fault to dems for BLM or the LA riots. We don't care about either "team"!

There's a guy in this thread who will argue to the death that Trump has no culpability in J6, becasue people "make their own decisions", and Trump has no power of suggestion strong enough that his followers would do anyhting based on what he says.

That same guy will tell you that all left-wingers are controlled by some external force that tells them what to do. At various times it could be Biden, Soros, the mass media, Pelosi, etc.
