either he organized a riot (which would require intent to do) or he didn't...you can't have it both ways and not be leaning hard on your feelings...

The fact that he didn't step in when they started breaking windows and attacking police officers suggests that he absolutely wanted what happened to happen. And he directed his rally goers to the capitol. No matter how much you desperately want it not to be....it was Trump's riot. He owns it.

If Trump would've "overstepped" then (which I wouldn't have been against) your narrative would be the same as his response to the la riots...

Trump was watching the riots unfold and chose not to deploy any help. Watched as they attacked officers and invaded the capitol. Did nothing. Why? Because that's what he wanted to have happen. A riot all for him. So he pardoned the "good" people who did it. And now he's throwing himself a North Korean style dictator parade. lol.

I have been around some... let's call them law breakers in the past. I do know that criminals do still have rights but they definitely have less rights than non criminals. Now... how does that work for a person or persons who never should have been here in the first place? I just find it hard to grasp why we are supposed to even entertain granting them rights when they spit on our flag and violate our laws to get in this country.

It's not like we're trying to imprison these law breakers - we're just sending them home. But for some reason the libs want to keep them here.

Why is it Trump's fault there wasn't a quicker response...there were several players who could've made the call before Trump...it's intellectually dishonest to put it on Trump before the others in chain...

And again had Trump intervened you'd cry over reach like you have at his response to the LA riots...

There's definitely a double standard that goes both ways, there's no question about that. It'll be interesting to see if many of these protests devolve into rioting today. And hopefully anyone involved in rioting gets arrested. Those people are opportunists and assholes.

They've already had to deploy pepper spray and arrest 18 people in Denver and that's before the official protest started.

You're going off on a tangent. We have been talking about due process for a good while now.
Did I say the COTUS protects every single right of every illegal immigrant on our soil?

"nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Again since these people aren't being deprived of life, liberty or property, so what entitles them to due process? This is probably why the judges in the Shaughnessy case said illegals had the right to "traditional standards of fairness."

It's not about the individual votes but the census. Greater population means more reps in a state and which states are "sanctuary" states?

I mean.....by your logic....the BLM and LA riots are blameless too. Who's fault? Nobodies.

Without knowing the circumstances surrounding this....it's incomplete information.

Edit....this happened a couple of days ago based on what I could find. And it had nothing to do with vandalism or violence. Police were just trying to break up the crowd. Hardly a sign of rioting.

Trump's the president. He has the authority to send in whoever he wants. Hell....he's mobilizing the military against U.S. citizens right now. So why didn't he do anything?

Nah....I've shown the video of his rally....where he directed his people to the capitol. A rally where he used rhetoric about "fighting like hell". He knew exactly what he was doing. Which is why he sat back and let it happen. And then pardoned the rioters.

But again....if you choose to ignore his role....that's fine. By that logic....nobody owns the LA riots. No blame to assign for the BLM riots either. Good to know.
