You are suggesting we not follow the COTUS, and that your belief is that the SCOTUS is wrong when they say illegal immigrants are "persons".
Why do you keep doing this? I've never said we shouldn't follow COTUS. I don't think the SCOTUS has ever said "persons" in the COTUS applies to all people within our borders or that illegals have all the same rights granted to our citizens.
You suggested we drop COTUS protections of the rights of certain persons, and that the SCOTUS did not interpret the COTUS correctly.
If they're illegal aliens they don't deserve the full set of rights citizens deserve.

I don't know what Trump was referencing, but I suspect like the rest of us he was using as a catch all. It's due process, gift cards, food, healthcare, housing, etc. They're getting jobs and economic opportunity too. What do we get in return: riots. I wonder how much "due process" I would get if I went to Mexico, burned the Mexican flag while waving the American flag and bitched & moaned about how awful Mexico is?
 
You may see a big difference between allowing riots and going easy on prosecuting rioters vs pardoning rioters - I don't. The J6ers got it way worse than the BLM rioters.

Trump is not acting like a dictator. It's the Army's 250th Anniversary Parade. Furthermore, given that Russia doesn't seem interested in the peace table and Israel is clearly planning for a continuing conflict with Iran, I don't think a show of force is a bad thing.

Because it's coming from the president. Republicans have long made the excuse of "state's rights" when it comes to overruling federal law. Whether state prosecutors decide to go hard against BLM rioters is state discretion. As I stated, it's not as though Walz, Newsome, or Bass were personally telling state prosecutors to drop the cases. What Trump did by pardoning January 6th rioters....wiping the slate clean....is entirely different. And it's not just that he gave pardons.....he gave BLANKET PARDONS. To ALL OF THEM. To the ones on video assaulting capitol police. Can you imagine the hissy fit that republicans would throw if Walz, Newsome, or Bass would have pardoned a BLM rioter who was on video assaulting police officers?

It hasn't yet. This guy is arguing that they discovered his child **** while investigating him for his role in the riot. The same rationale that several other rioters have used to get subsequent, but related charges dropped. My point is that there is no rational excuse for a blanket pardon. Trump didn't pardon people that may have gotten a raw deal. He pardoned everyone. Including the ones doing some pretty despicable things. Hard to sit on the high horse of 'law and order' when it's openly disregarded by Dopey Don. Hell....just over the past couple weeks he went on a pardoning spree of people who families paid him. It's all gotten too ridiculous to believe.

The leftist idiots have had a non-stop protest at the Capitol since Trump got elected anyway. Literally, the idiots are there protesting something or the every weekend. These professional protesters trash the fawking place too. Hopefully, riots don't break out, but the left has lost their minds, so I suspect they'll try to block major roads and the highway and will resort to violence. I see Aurora isn't on the list, but there is an ICE detention center in Aurora and they've already gathered there, so it's likely some violence could break out there too. It's funny to see Parker and Castle Rock on the protest list - those cities are very unfriendly toward the illegal alien and homeless communities.

You may not think it, but the SCOTUS has confirmed the protection of the rights of ilelgals on our soil:

Diaz, 426 U.S. 67, 77 (1976) (There are literally millions of aliens within the jurisdiction of the United States. The Fifth Amendment, as well as the Fourteenth Amendment, protects every one of these persons from deprivation of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.); Plyler v. Doe, 457 U.S. 202, 215 (1982) (holding that unlawfully present aliens were entitled to both due process and equal protection under the Fourteenth Amendment).
