The point is, we should not be rewarding those who break our laws to be in this country. Trump is not breaking or violating ANY laws by having illegals arrested and detained so that they can enjoy the privilege of due process before they get booted back to whatever 3rd world country they came from.

I didn't say that. My stance has and always will be that anyone committing crimes should face the punishment. There's plenty of people peacefully protesting.....as is their right. Anyone damaging property and/or looting undermine the goal of protesting and deserve to be arrested.
Then we agree on how rioters should be treated.
Were there a lot of BLM rioters that were pardoned or let off the hook or something? Thing is.....you need evidence of law breaking to charge someone. The big difference between the two is that January 6th had cameras EVERYWHERE. I mean.....Trump literally held a rally before sending his people to march on the capitol. The news organizations were already there and covering it when it occurred. Even Trump was watching the play-by-play breakdown of the riot while sitting on his hands.....doing nothing about it.
Look up what happened to the BLM rioters; blue city DAs & judges often went easy on them. Judges and prosecutors droped the hammer on J6 rioters.
 
There were some 14,000 arrests in connection with riots stemming from the Floyd homicide.

Considering nearly every single person in J6 was on camera and only a few hundred got arrested, then later pardoned and potentially lookig at getting paid for their time, it sure seems Team Right was not aggressive AT ALL.
Totally off. ~1600 arrests for j6, ~1200 convictions. Team Blue was in charge of going after both BLM & J6 rioters, they went light on BLM rioters & hammered J6ers. I never supported the blanket pardons, especially of those who were convicted of more serious charges.

The Constitution applies to people on our soil. It protects the right of due process for all people on our soil.
Did you notice how the 9/11 terrorists got trials, and not just killed for their action?

Do you think that Trump should pick and choose whose rights the COTUS protects? Maybe he decides tomorrow it only protects Catholics, and decides to round up all Jews and jail them. Sound fair to you?
Maybe he decides it doesn't protect people born in Ohio, and rounds up all who are from Ohio, and jails them.

Good idea to give him such power?
Is there court case or clause in the COTUS that says non citizen criminals have the same rights as US citizens?
 
You think that a person can break our laws, enter this country by violating our laws and they get the convenience of due process??? So I guess you have to be cool with a ****** entering your granny's house (breaking the law literally), poking her against her will (breaking the law literally) should get to leave that house and await due process?
They don't just want to give them due process, they're giving them housing, food, medicare/aid. Meanwhile, Mexican protesters are in Cali claiming they have the right to be here because Cali (and much of the Western United States) was part of Mexico prior to Mexico losing the Mexican American war. What logic - to the loser goes the spoils. By that logic, will Mexico return its lands Spain and/or the Native Americans?

They're not being deprived of life, liberty or property. They're being deported. Furthermore, its not the States doing it, it's the Fed.
