So "sleepy Joe" has nothing to do with sleep, because Trump now falls asleep on camera all the time.
And to prove it, you provide a definition of "sleepy" as "tending to fall asleep".

Everyone knows "asleep" has nothing to do with "sleep", and "sleepy" has nothign to do with sleep, even though it comes directly from the word.

So you quoted Thxone's post that gives a definition of "sleepy" that distinctly talks of "sleep" (as in "not awake") in order to prove that "sleepy Joe" is a moniker that has nothing to sleep?

If you referenced cold while in the snow, i would assume you're making reference to the temperature. OTOH, if you said said cold in reference to somebody doing something heartless, I would know you're not referring to temperature.

Similarly, when I posted Sleepy Joe in response to video clips, Thx, Spooky, Slapper, et al didn't think themselves "WTF is Jimi talking about? Biden didn't appear tired in the video." Look at this way, it's an inside joke; you had to be there go understand it. We were just assuming that since you were participating in the thread, you were in on the joke. Maybe you never clicked on any of those videos. Oh well, unfortunately Sleepy Joe goes beyond dictionary definitions, so I guess you'll just have to sit this one out.

You're arguing with the editors of the dictionary you quoted from, much like your arguemtn with all of medical science that "in" does not mean "in".

Therefore a person is lethargic, weary, overcome with sleep, tending to fall asleep.

Confused Joe... we should have called him Confused Joe. Or maybe "Onset of Alzheimers Joe." How about "Fell Off My Bike Joe" or "Can't distinguish between left & right Joe?"

I wonder if the left is confused because "Orange Man" was both literal and funny, but since "Sleepy Joe" isn't necessarily literal they're getting confused. But they keep referring to Trump as a facist dictator and they couldn't possibly mean he is a facist dictator - only deranged person would take that literally.

But then it was claimed by posting a definition of the word that it DOES have something to do with sleep.
