Nope, you are wrong again. This is borderline sad at this point Rob.
So "sleepy Joe" has nothing to do with sleep, because Trump now falls asleep on camera all the time.
And to prove it, you provide a definition of "sleepy" as "tending to fall asleep".

Everyone knows "asleep" has nothing to do with "sleep", and "sleepy" has nothign to do with sleep, even though it comes directly from the word.
Too funny.

More of the "in" does not mean "in" mind-numbing nonsense.

So when I go out in the snow and say "I'm cold", you would think I'm a murderer?

So you quoted Thxone's post that gives a definition of "sleepy" that distinctly talks of "sleep" (as in "not awake") in order to prove that "sleepy Joe" is a moniker that has nothing to sleep?

And when i directly ask you to explain the etymology of the nickname, you can't provide an answer.
Talk about quadrupling down!

So, it caught on because "sleepy" has nothing to do with the definition Thxone posted?
Hmmm.
If you referenced cold while in the snow, i would assume you're making reference to the temperature. OTOH, if you said said cold in reference to somebody doing something heartless, I would know you're not referring to temperature.

Similarly, when I posted Sleepy Joe in response to video clips, Thx, Spooky, Slapper, et al didn't think themselves "WTF is Jimi talking about? Biden didn't appear tired in the video." Look at this way, it's an inside joke; you had to be there go understand it. We were just assuming that since you were participating in the thread, you were in on the joke. Maybe you never clicked on any of those videos. Oh well, unfortunately Sleepy Joe goes beyond dictionary definitions, so I guess you'll just have to sit this one out.

Doubling down Rob? Really?

Tell me how SLEEP is Lethargic.

Tell me how SLEEP is Weary.

Tell me how SLEEP is Overcome with sleep.

Tell me how SLEEP is Tending to fall asleep.

You're arguing with the editors of the dictionary you quoted from, much like your arguemtn with all of medical science that "in" does not mean "in".

If you think it's wrong, why did you quote it?

Ok, clearly your brain is having a major fit of stupid.

A person is SLEEPY.
Therefore a person is lethargic, weary, overcome with sleep, tending to fall asleep.

Joe Biden looks lethargic all the time. Joe Biden looks weary. Joe Biden IS Sleepy Joe.

OK. Complete tangent for a moment.
I will swear to my death that I read post 14,388 about 10 minutes ago, yet it says it was just posted.
Oddly, it doesn't have a space between it like other posts do. I thought maybe it was quoted by Thx.
WTF?

I know, they should have called him Lethargic Joe, or Weary Joe, or Overcome with sleep Joe, or Tending to fall asleep Joe in order for you to get it? Or would you still be confused?
Confused Joe... we should have called him Confused Joe. Or maybe "Onset of Alzheimers Joe." How about "Fell Off My Bike Joe" or "Can't distinguish between left & right Joe?"

I wonder if the left is confused because "Orange Man" was both literal and funny, but since "Sleepy Joe" isn't necessarily literal they're getting confused. But they keep referring to Trump as a facist dictator and they couldn't possibly mean he is a facist dictator - only deranged person would take that literally.

Make your point specifically please. Sleepy does not describe sleep, it describes a person.
But not literally...

And it doesn't have to be literal. For example, we say, "He was asleep at the wheel," but we don't mean the person was literally sleeping or at a wheel.

An animal cannot be sleepy?
Regardless, no one has shown the etymology of the phrase as used by Trump to describe Biden. An etymology that was requested when it was stated that the phrase had nothing to do with sleep.

It has been strongly suggested that it has nothing to do with sleep, after it was pointed out that Trump falls asleep in public all the time.
But then it was claimed by posting a definition of the word that it DOES have something to do with sleep.

So Trump and his sycophants call Biden "sleepy Joe" based on videos that surfaced at some point of Biden being sleepy, yet Trump himself fals asleep in public regularly.
And none of his MAGATS are screaming about it.

Again, don't be an *** just to be an ***. We are adults, well most of us, we are aware that other life forms sleep. However, it is prudent to speak of humans since that is what we are.

What if he was called Dopey Joe? Would you understand? Would you comprehend?
When I call you an ******* do you think I literally mean the anus?

Yes, it originates from the word sleep. As stated in the definition of Sleepy.

You got it partially correct.

So now Thxone is saying the moniker IS literal and you are saying it's not, after previously saying Thx was right.

So..which is it?
