Who is finger pointing? You made a statement with an implied opinion but left out important details. I am asking for details.
Welcome to conversation. Conversation you expressly complained you wanted. Is conversation not what you thought it was?
You are not having a conversation. If you know nothing of the potential railroad strike and the negotiations, stay the fuck out of the conversation.

I know plenty about it, it's why I'm asking what you would consider a "screwup" and what you would consider a "success" with regard to the Biden administration's involvement.

Do you consider 3-5 weeks vacation, 40 hour workweeks, and 26-52 weeks of partial-paid sick leave to be reasonable or unreasonable? I accrue s/l over time, but cap out at XX hours. I like their extended sick leave, but I benefit more from short term full-pay because I have been fortunate enough not to need it very often. 3-5 vaca weeks seems normal. 40 hour workweek is certainly a norm.

If you know then use your brain. Whatever it takes to keep them from striking. That's what I think now go eat some dirt.

I read that as "Give them every demand they make in order to prevent a strike" as a success.
Would that be accurate?

If that unlikely scenario happens, what will your opinion be of the financial repercussions that Jimi mentioned previously?

Did you eat paint chips as a kid? Are you stupid or something. Your first sentence is what you do almost everytime you post. Pure ******* ignorance. Is that your goal, to be an ignorant *******?

Nope, nobody should do anything. Fuck the workers, let them strike. You assholes will come around when you can't get the things you like.

Who said not to do anything? Just pointing out that hiring more workers is going to cause inflation; they're already getting a bump in pay. You seemed upset with inflation in the past, yet you suggest causing inflation to the fix a problem. Does Biden have the power to force the nation's rail services to hire more workers?

Do you think inflation is going to get better if they strike?

So if there is no strike, then Biden did a good job. What if he eliminates the point system, which would force the railroad companies to hire more employees, who might not be available. What if the railroad companies cannot hire enough additional workers to avoid disruptions from the increased absences - is that still success since the strike was avoided?

If there is an acceptable resolution then there would be no strike. The what ifs are pointless.
