I’m buying a skar 12” sub and i dont know what amp to buy with it
400w rms
1 ohm
400w rms
1 ohm
how far should i turn it down?
sorry for the questions but this is all brand new to me
so for my car it would be 12v+_1v because i have a 12 volt battery?Use a volteter set to ac voltage on the speaker outputs without the speaker hooker up and use this formula
Volts(ac)=√(watt×ohm)
20(VAc)=√(400×1)
Set the amp to 20v ac on the amps output. Adjust the gain until it's at 20v ±1v

That will set the output to 400w any any extra eq will just eat into the headroom which is fine. The sub should take slightly more than RMS power without issue. Then later you can upgrade to a larger sub if wanted and still have power to spareok so then that will turn the amp down so that i can use it with the sub
would you recommend this over the d4s jp8?CT-700.1D // 700 Watts RMS Monoblock Car Audio Amplifier

I would recommend this over the DFS JP8 for the money, or spend $10 more than the DFS JP8 and grabb a 1500.1would you recommend this over the d4s jp8?
For the sub you want to run.. The 700.1 will be more than enough power and enough Head room for that sub. For the Price? And the sub you are wanting to run? Yes.. I would choose this ampwould you recommend this over the d4s jp8?
