I think all of this was done on purpose to collapse Europe, depending on Russian energy, that is. Start a war with Russia, so that Europe will be forced the be greener, Paris Climate Accord, Great Reset, etc. All these western leaders want less energy usage in their nations, and it sure is convenient to be able to blame it solely on Russia. “You will own nothing and be happy.”

And, it actually IS irony: a situation in which something which was intended to have a particular result has the opposite or a very different result
