Too many people think they were trying to kill Rittenhouse with a plastic bag, one kick, and a skateboard. Lest we forget the mystery rock that made him trip and fall down. The second and third victims went after the active shooter unarmed and paid the price (one of them even died). I hear so many keyboard cowboys say that they would charge an active shooter to save other people. This is what happens when you try and charge an active shooter unarmed. Even worse, the active shooter is everybody's hero now. He defended himself against a plastic bag and a skateboard. Why didn't Rittenhouse run into that business? Did Rosenbaum really find Rittenhouse alone in a protest? I was born at night but not last night.

Maybe he gets left alone if he isn't armed, but I don't think so. IMHO, there were lots of people down there looking for trouble. I have to disagree about the skateboard attack, clearly Rittenhouse is fleeing in the video and get whacked and continues to flee - that isn't an "active shooter" in my book. He didn't even try to shoot Huber after the first time he whacked him with the skateboard. He didn't start firing again until "jump kick man" tried to smash his face in.

I guess it could boil down to how many rioter-on-rioter attacks there were, and how many rioter-on-“peacekeeper” attacks there were across multiple riots.
That wouldn’t tell us what happened in Kenosha, but it might provide a better context.
