So my current set up is a CES (custom electric supply service) 250 amp alternator, xs power d3400 under hood, and ofc 2/0 awg gp car audio wire. Amps are wolfram 3000.1 and wolfram 125 4, so system is around 4000rms right now and have a wolfram 4500.1 on the way, system upgrade to around 6000-7000rms after new amp and w125.4 wired at 2ohms by 4 channels.

The issue I'm having now is my voltage is still dropping on only arpund 3.5k rms, down to the high 11's and that's with volume on only a 22 out of a possible 28 before distortion. What do I need to do from here that's not gonna break the bank but allow me to play 7k rms without any dangerously low voltage drops?

I was thinking of 125ah total worth of agms which is all I have room for, cost around 350 at sams club for two and get rid of the d3400 as I think it's about to die, resting voltage is around 12.3 volts.

Also the high output alternator only really works well around 2000rpms and not at all around the 800rpm idle, can I fix that? The paper said 200amps at 2000rpms on what came with the alternator. Idk when it'll put out the 250amps.

Plz help me solve this.

Good choice on the alt. So here's what may be going on. I would start with checking connections 1st since it often gets overlooked esp with high powered systems. They tend to get lose over time leading to voltage dropping. Other thing is since you mentioned your getting the 4500.1 amp (Im jealous!) your alt might not be able to keep up with that amp once you get it install, and may not keep up with it now since it's a 250 amperage and your drawing around 277 amperes and a few other electrical factory car accessories pulling that current such as heater, headlights, etc. A bigger beefier CES alt like 350-370 will do and a few batteries. If you think your current battery (s) are the issue, I'd get them load tested if you can.

What vehicle do you have? Big 3 done yet? Did you set your gains properly?

So car is a 2005 chevy cavalier, the 2 door coupe. Little 2.2 idles around 800rpms.

To answer everything, so big 3 is done, grounds are all solid, got the big 3 done, and direct ground from alt to battery. Gains were set with a ddm to get the rms I'm looking for. I may need to readjust my stinger volt meters. But my amp currently is set at 2200watts rms then my 125.4 is around 800 rms I'm guessing as the rears are 4 ohms and the frobt are 2ohms. Just stopped off at O'Reillys and had my battery tested on the way home from getting the kids from school. Lol. They love waiting in the car. Sarcasm. Lol.  The battery came back fine and resting at 12.67, so maybe my ddm is messed up. I need to test it somehow.

As for the amp upgrade lol, I actually got my w3000.1 for only 359 new when it was prezale at 400$, a local is buying it for 425$ and I got the w4500.1 for 539$ so just eating the difference. Lol. They are having a 16% sale on the w4500 right now. Code SUMMER16. The same guy might buy my w125.4 and then Imma get the w250.4.

Now electrical, u think a 80ah blue cell lto build will suffice the upgrades and not strain the electrical system?

Did u see the bew wolfram 10's and mids n highs speakers?

I'm curious how your getting 800 rms watts from that 4 ch amp when it does 175x4 into 2 ohms? You and I have the same amps....would love to see that 4 ch amp benched or unless you have had it benched and actually does more than rated....like all their sub amps that did very well wouldn't surprise me if it did more than rated. I would say your electrical needs to be beefed up a little more than what you have now, esp at high volume your drawing more current, thus straining it a little.

I seen all the deals on FB with amp sales and 16% off....cannot pass that up for those seeking new equipment!! I think the 250.4 comes out in August? And for only 50 bucks more, it's not a bad deal. Saw the mids/highs but not the bew 10's. Can't wait to see who gets the 7500.1 when it's released.

Oh, well my bad, I was just predicting what that 125.4 was doing but ur right, a bench test would be awesome. It's definitely putting out 90% of all that it can as my speakers can handle all it has to give.

So beef up electrical such as add lto cells is all that's left I'm thinking. Just those damn cells will be as much as the subs, and amps combined. Ugh.....

Yeah those deals are nice. I figured why not get the bigger amp and the 250.4 as it's a class d and be more effecient. Plus if u can find someone who wants to upgrade their setup with ur old and ur not losing much or any at all in my case. I couldn't pass it up. I think after all is said n done I'm only gonna be out by 50$ on parts for the box. Bought the hds3.110 all 3 and then both my amps I'm hoping. I got really lucky.

Imma start a new feed when everything comes in. Gonna berunning nothing but wolfram. As follows:

3 ag 10's 4ohm

4 super tweets

4 mids

Amps, 4500.1 and I'm hoping he buys the 125.4 and I'll get the 250.4

Can't waiti. I'm hoping by september it'll all be done and installed and be entering my first competition.
