Hi All,

I bought an amplifier install kit with 4 gauge power wire and ground cable.

The problem I'm having is the cables are WAY too big to plug into the amp.

I've cut a bunch of the cable down; soldered the remaining cable, heat-shrunk it and fit it into the tiny holes on my amp (RF 360a2). It's not very elegant.

What can I buy that takes a 4 gauge wire and makes it fit cleanly into my amp? I assume this shouldn't be very complex or expensive.

Here's are the power and ground terminals on my amp for reference:

Thanks.

You can try using wire ferrules
Thanks; I've looked into wire ferrules but can't seem to find one for a 4 gauge down to whatever fits in my amp; I'm guessing 14 or 16 gauge.

I keep finding stuff like this:

But that hardly reduces and I need two nearly side-by-side (power and ground).

You could use 4 gauge to 8 gauge reducers.

I like this idea. I assume it's not okay for the reducers for power and ground to be in physical contact with each other? With the ground right next to the power I think I'd want an insulated version... Hopefully I can fit two side-by-side. I wish the amp designers had spaced out the ground and power terminals a bit more.

I used to have a RF 800a2 back in the day. Your amp reminds me of my amp and the terminals look the same from what I can remember. I'm pretty sure it's 8 gauge.

I checked in the manual and you're right:
"The Punch 250, Punch 360, Punch 500, and Punch 800 utilize heavy duty terminal block connectors that will accept bare wires size from 8-18AWG".

Thanks!
