It's a Ford Escape and the two subs are facing frontwards. Maybe I should try facing them upward....I don't really want to face them backward because the box is so big and it would be so close to the trunk door that there would be too much rattling.

what could cause this? Maybe a wiring issue?

I was recommended the specs for the box from this site....5 cubes 32 hz.....I caulked the inside, too.

Not sure what his amp is.....but mine's a HiFonics 1206D. And I've tried facing the subs up, backwards, and frontwards. No noticeable changes...

For connecting two 4ohm subs at a 1 ohm load, the diagram shows both +'s of one sub being connected and I think both -'s of the other being connected. Do I just use a jumper to connect them?

Two 12" Type-R's powered by a HiFonics 1206D. The box is 5 cubes at 32hz. By sealed up I mean caulking the corners and edges inside.

It's got plenty of airspace, it's in a open SUV trunk.

I'm just pissed because my subs aren't hitting too low. I sealed up the box and everything, so I figured it might be the wire size...

Could that be why my subs aren't sounding that great?

What gauge of wire would be best for two subs to a 1200 watt amp? My dad is using 16 gauge, and for some reason I think that isn't right since the 16 gauge wire came with the component speakers.
