It's an LMS-r 12"... I wouldn't buy one used unless it was in almost perfect condition or better... Def. not worth buying to re-sell. Buy it for yourself if it's cheep but you won't be able to turn a profit on it unless you pay very little for it.

Since you are selling the tops for $55 anyway... Why not take the top off and dump some glue(epoxy of some sort) down into the triple joint. My guess is that if you can't find any cracks/gaps in the factory glue around the collar/cone then it's probably the collar is not seated correctly on...

Yeah, aside from being LMS coils, the blackness is just from the curing process... Or so I'm told. Could be that they use a different varnish now too.

Check out Crescendo Audio for mids and amps... They're decent if your on a budget. For a subwoofer, I wouldn't have anything to suggest except TC Sounds. Look for an Epic/TC-1000/TC2+, though a 10" will be kinda hard to find used. They're about $190 new. It's expensive, but they are great...

Looking for two matching 12" cones. Paper, carbon fiber, or aluminum... Will pay a pretty penny for two matching aluminum cones. Surround needs to be good for 2" p-p or more. 2" ID, will be on a 12" 12 spoke basket. Please let me know the height of the cone as well. Thanks!
