Sorry but the doule bass on my ported box full of se's feel like you are getting kicked in the back of the head. It is a common missconception that subs need o be sealed to sound good. My vote is ported and tuned a little lower, like 32.

I agree on the prefab, The fact the box is fiberglass makes no dif. If it is built thick enough and not full of air bubbles its just as good as MDF.

When they press the mdf it can be in any shape. I guess you just have to have the form pre made and have the hook up to have it done. Hell maybe he has his own press.
