I had a 15" Type R and threw 150w over RMS rating at it daily.   These are durable subs, you could probably put them 250w over rating, and if your power was truly clean, they'd take it like it was 100w under.

I am open to new brands, I just like to know a bit about them first, that's all. And I'm also open to new experiences (like a 2 12 setup) but on the budget I have right now, I'd prefer to stick with the (generally cheaper) 1 15 setup..
