    dual 4 ohm wiring???

hey i have a 95 eclipse. and i know absolutly jack **** about wiring and subs. but either way i have a kenwood mp-522 headunit. with two diamond audio cm3 10inchers. to be hooked up in dual 4 ohm to a one channel 900w rockford fostgate amp. how do i hook up my diamond's to the box in dual 4 ohm?

and with the amp being a single channel that means that each sub will be getting 900w right? if so thats to much. my subs are 300rms with 800max.. i would rather have half that. so do i change my setup or just turn the amp down?

900/2=450 if you look at the top of the wiring forums you will find a wiring tutorial, where it draws out (literally) your wiring options.

    1) You don't hook the subs up in dual 4...they subs are dual 4. How you wire them depends on what impedence you need. If you need a final impedence of 4ohm, you wire them in series/parallel:

If you need a final impedence of 1ohm, you wire them in parallel/parallel:

As werd said...each sub would only receive half the power (450w)

One of the wiring scenarios descibed above will be correct for your amp. The scenerio will hinge upon what exact model amp you have....so what is the exact model# of the amp?

    Yeah, whatever
