    Odd question

well ive seen enough systems put together in my day to finally do it myself(i deal with the performance of my vehicle my friend does all the sound)(,but hes outa town) for once, i got the powerwire no problem, but the groundwire, does it need a terminal or can i just bolt the wire down, and will it get hot enough to melt platic(plastic tubing like a cm above it)BTW im using 4 guage wiring, running a JLaudio W7 off of a JBL BPx1100.1(ill update my sig with this stuff and a pic of my hip new ride sooner or later)

As long as its solidly bolted down to a real metal ground...you're good.

and will it get hot enough to melt platic
If it gets that hot, you've got bigger things to worry about...like the insulation melting

    Re: Odd question

You're splicing 4awg into the 18awg stock wiring?

Don't even deal with the stock stuff, take a rat file and expose some bare metal, bolt your wiring into that.

    Re: Odd question

    Go for it.

Just make sure you've got enough bare metal to make good contact with the 4awg terminal.
