    can i wire these subs to 2ohm load?

    2 subs: Audiobahn AW1206T DVC 1100RMS
    1 amp: Lanzar Vibe268 500RMSx2 @ 4ohm, 800x2RMS @ 2ohm

    now the subs say its a dual 4ohm voice coil, but it says it can run 2ohm-8ohm load. now my problem is whats the best way to wire them up? i was thinkin eithor bridgin the amp an wiring the subs @ 2 ohm, or can i just leave the amp in 2ch to get the same effect? pics would be helpfull... an my box only has two terminals for each sub.

    do not bridge it... wire both positives and negatives together on the sub... and wire the sub to 1 channel... do the same for the other but do not bridge it

    Been out of this for a longgg time...

    ^ what he said.

    wire each of the subs to two ohms. and wire one sub to each channel of the amp.

    you need to use Y adapters to split the signal from the HU to both channels on the amp.

    Don't PM me, I'm not here. Find me on SSA or ROE
    No, I won't re-upload the Big3 pictures. Don't ask.

    Re: can i wire these subs to 2ohm load?

    ok but wouldnt that make a 4 ohm load?? i want the amp to push @ 2ohms...
    but just to clarrify, so i take the positive from one ch of the amp an split it to both positives on sub1. do the same for the neg? i thought that wouldnt be parralel, creating a 4ohm load.
    i was going to take the positive from ch1 to sub1 pos on one of the voice coils, link the neg to the pos of the other voice coil an wire the neg from the second voice coil to the neg on ch1 to the amp... an repeat for sub2. i thought that was a 2ohm load... pictures would realy help guys

    wire BOTH subs like this;

    then hook EACH sub to its OWN channel on the amp. and i dont think you will get close to 800x2@2 from that amp.

    have fun

    Re: can i wire these subs to 2ohm load?

    and that picture is exactly what me and john were saying... they are dual 4 ohms... so there's no way you can wire both coils to 4 ohms...
