    crossovers lighting up?

I installed the new kicker ss components and the higher i turn the volume the brighter the fuses light up is this a problem or is it normal. At first i thought it was sparks till i looked at the crossovers while i played music.

    Re: crossovers lighting up?

nah the crossovers are clear and you can see the fuses lighting up inside of them like every time a snare hits a high volume it would light up the higher the volume the brighter it gets

    Re: crossovers lighting up?

Why would your crossover be clear unless it's supposed to make some kind of lightshow?

Check and see if your crossover is from North Korea. If it is, it's probably going to explode and kill everything within 8 miles.

    Re: crossovers lighting up?

No, It is supposed to do that. That little light protects the tweeter from blowing. When it lights up it is burning off power as light (heat) rather than goign to the speaker. And if you send too much the bulb would blow saving your tweeters life.
