    mtx thunder8000

    im lookin at the mtx thunder8000's 2 10" and a 12", are they good? hit hard? all the other stuff you could tell me about them would help, thanx

    ive heard the 6000 and they hit pretty hard so i would have to think that the 8000 would too. they also dont have too bad of a sq if you wanted to know that.

    The 8000's will hit nice, but you need alot more power than the 6000's. The 6000's have a higher sensitivity than the 8000's. Then look at 250-500 watts RMS to the 8000's 500-1000 watts RMS. I have a 6000 10" and I am sending over 280 watts to it and its in a .65 cf box/sealed, sound is excelent. Price can be another pivot point, the 8000's cost more, black and white and to the point. If you have enough wattage and want to spend the extra buck get the 8's, but if the budget is tight get the 6's Good luck
